No, no, no! Please don't hold your tongue!! It's the only way I'll learn!
How do I go about giving a home to our fledgling MAS? I'd love to make it official and invite everyone, especially old members who might have ideas about how the new one should be done!
I don't even know how to do a 'fan club' thread on my space. Unless, is that the same as a link? I'm so clueless! Please help!

A535286 - 'The Mutual Admiration Social Club!'
I'm holding my tongue on issues of politics and religeon.
Well it wouldn't do for you start a Cali_gal42 Fan Club thread on your own space anyway m'dear... Leave that to me... F1818354?thread=554668&post=6312451#p6312451
There you are, one Cali_gal fan club.
To make a Mutual Appreciation Society you simply click the 'Add Guide Entry' button on your space, [it may have a slightly different name depending on which skin you use]. Give it it's name, outline it's goals and aims etc... give it a sprinkling of GuideML and a few pretty blobs and drop by <./>ThePost</.> to have it advertised. After it's been around for a while and if it's active enough drop by the community artists to get some special artwork for society and it's members!

Well, my dears?
This is not just my MAS- it is yours as well. Shall we join forces with this site? http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A535286
Or shall we start anew, fresh with a youthful vigor and energy, making our own mistakes as we go?
Please, let me know what you'd like to do. As you elected chair , I will abide by the majority of wishes. Only those expressed can be counted.
Madam Chair, Cali

I suggest we start a 'Mutual Appreciation Society' and make moves to be affiliated with the 'Mutual Admiration' folks...

Okay, everyone, the general consensus is to start fresh, with our own ideas about what admiration entails. I agree. However, I suggest we all give it the weekend to think it over, and try to recruit more people to it. Leave your thoughts here, and I'll check them again in a few days, and if everyone maintains a good positive outlook, we'll do it! Yeah!
For now, I need to rest my aching back. Talk to you all later.
Lots of love
Cali

This is a reply to post 73. It probably won't make any sense in the conversation that has continued since then. Just to let you know I'm currently lost in the backlog.
There was little point to the story Cali-gal....just to cause a little laugh maybe.
David Gemmel writes stories which appear medieval but are long-post-catastrophe earth where war is pretty much constant. His characters are people who are screwed up in the way most people are but in the end become heros without realising it. None of them are the run of the mill handsome, well intentioned, goody-goodies that a lot of similar tales are told of. They kinda stumble into being the best. His writing is wonderfully absorbing, intricate and interesting. But then that's just my opinion.

Not good. I just got back from a weekend in London and am wishing I had a drug habit or something to focus everything on. Never mind.
Okay let's worry in a quiet and sneaky manner just incase everything is alright and then we can pretend we weren't worried and we were just hanging...and if something IS wrong then we were right to worry! Or something...
