John Peel
Posted Oct 26, 2004
I've just switched on the radio and they were doing those tributes you get when someone dies - staggered to find John Peel has passed away. Very sad day. Excellent DJ, raconteur, late night friend on the radio and plugger of bands extraordinaire.

Ahem
All hootooers are cordially invited to help me celebrate my Birthday tomorrow, Wednesday.
Turn up here whenever you like. There'll be (why not - don't get it in RL!) and and much more!
I'll try to pop in a few times but am not online 'til I get home and then I'm off out for a meal in RL. So it'll be one of those parties where you make your own entertainment!
Look forward to seeing you if you can make it

Birthdays and what to do on 'em...
Posted Sep 28, 2004
So, you have a Birthday coming up and (being still a touch childlike) wish to mark the occasion in some fashion.
Do you:
a) go away for a night to an overpriced hotel with your partner?
b) go out for a curry in your town so you can both drink and then roll back home on foot?
c) accept your partner's offer of a trip to Lisbon, even if it means 2.5 hours to the airport, 2 or 3 hours in the airport, ?2 hours on the plane.... what's left of Saturday and a night in Lisbon, then the same journey in reverse, with w**k on the Monday?
or d) forget all about it 'cos you're getting old and shouldn't 'do' Birthdays anymore?!

Last days of the hols....what would you do?
Posted Aug 31, 2004
If money were no object but time and distance were as normal...how would you spend your last day's holiday? (If you weren't sorting out what you were going to wear/eat/take with you to work the next day, that is)
I think I would fly to a private island, spend the day there, watch their sunset (so it would have to be in the Indian ocean somewhere) then fly back, all on a private jet)and have a good sleep!
My last day is tomorrow...doubt if I'll be whizzing off anywhere!

Back again...

...from my little holiday in Herefordshire. Seen a fair few of the 'sights' and have put this note here to remind myself that this kind of stuff is what Entries are made of - so get on with it, Jules!
