Birthdays and what to do on 'em...
JulesK Posted Oct 1, 2004
Yes he does and any more hints and I'll be organising it myself (or getting chucked out)!
Jules (what do you mean uncryptic - you're as cryptic as they come today!)

I've stopped now anyhow. As of last night there will be no more hints.
And hey - I have my flowers from my hootoo pals, so they will do for little old me.

So, if you can't be sure of a treat at home... are you going to have a h2g2 party?
I'll bake and bring if you want? I can do Victoria sponge with double cream and raspberry jam. Or cake with toffee icing?
Go on... say you'll have a party

Only if you bring all of the above-mentioned foods!
I have to say I would be shy of having a party - I'm the same n RL, I can't believe anyone will turn up just for me.
Where shall I have it - on my PS?

Erm, if I'm not there it's 'cos we HAVE gone out after all!
I only get back around 6pm on Wednesday and then I'd have to get spruced up to go back out again.
Will try to go online at some point as I await my potential chariot. Otherwise the party will have to be in another timezone to keep it on the date!

Ah I understand then, just keep in mind that I'm 7 hours behind you - a local radio station relays the BBC news@10:00pm...well 10pm our time, it's actually the 4am news!
How's the week been Jules? Any plans for the weekend?
Oh & I'll bring the ...lots of !

The week has been busy busy busy, actually - I'm just glad of this chilled-out Friday evening I'm having here!
Every night after work I've had between one and three appointments either for me or a kitten or the household in general.
Plus work is still bedding-in to a new term with new caseload and colleagues etc.
This coming weekend is busy too:
Tomorrow I'm going to a Tear Fund (fair trade) stall at the church to get Christmas cards etc, then to town shopping, then to friends for a meal and to stay over. Sunday we have my 90+ Great Aunt visiting us. She's fab - totally cool and droll. Examples of this are:
a) when I told her I was finally getting married after 10 years of 'courting' she asked 'Now, Jules, are you sure?'
b) when I was interviewing her years ago for my family tree research she said about a distant member of our family 'of course they're only related to us in as much as their cat ran up our alley'
Both of these still make me laugh even now.

Sounds like quite a gem!
Glad you're enjoying your Friday evening. I'll be going out in just under 3 hours for my frequent Fri. night music therapy (or so I refer to it). I think I'd told you I volunteer at a local Jazz & Blues club. So I'll be preparing some very basic snacks & enjoying some live music in the background (not to mention working alongside some good friends!)
Your weekend does sound fairly busy, but I think a relatively good busy, so to speak.

Oh I usually do Jules...& then occasionally find myself carefully stumbling home after a few 1/2 price pints. (only somewhat though)
