What are the symptoms of gallstones Jim?

"What are the symptoms of gallstones Jim?"
Excruciating chest pains that feel like you're having a heart attack. This only happens if a stone or part of a stone gets out of the gallbladder and blocks your bile ducts, leading to inflammation and pain.
I actually first had this about 7 years ago, and really did think I was having a heart attack - I phoned an ambulance and got rushed to A&E. When I got there, it had subsided, and the doctor said it was trapped wind, so I suffered these attacks for the next six months or so, assuming I just had bad indigestion. Then they stopped.
Then, last October, I was on holiday and had another attack, and assumed, again, it was trapped wind. The next attack a month later was worse - I went yellow - so I saw the doctor, got scanned and the gallstones were diagnosed.
Thankfully, since between attack and the operation I haven't had another attack, but that might be because of the (mostly) low fat diet I've been on. (Not any more - I've just ordered a Chicken Dhansak from the take away )

Every single nurse and doctor who saw the tube with the stones in expressed a certain amount of surprise at the number. So I guess it was a lot.
