Traveller in Time reading about barn doors
"Although with this script?
I would not be surprised if the horses start jumping over the lighting rig as soon as the 'grips' open the barn doors."

Oh! That's what grips do. I've always wondered when you see them on the credits.

My star shines very dimly indeed in the vast and dazzling celestial heavens of Fame. But far worse than no Fame, I have made no Fortune.
No offense taken, zarni, because no one is more aware than I of just how globally insignificant my part in the film industry has been to date. On a local level (Nova Scotia) I have had a few moments of celebrity over the years and quite frankly that kind of Fame scares me.
But having been in the business (radio, stage, film, tv) since I was seven years old it is inevitable than I'd pick up a few tricks over a span of half a century.
Y'see after 20 or 30 years the crews will actually start to talk to you. After 40 or more, they'll consider you mostly harmless and feel free to reveal all their trade secrets, like where the cold drinks and finger-food are stashed behind the set.
