That's good. Are you going somewhere nice for Christmas that you won't see them?
I have started writing a play as well, the first act is here in my journal ChiKiSpirit© and the BBC
You can do what you like with this: A17903009
I haven't been watching any TV because I am running up a few bills, not working and not getting any benefits either. Such is life. If something doesn't appear on the workfront by Christmas I am going to have to do something drastic.
Probably not quite so drastic as that Frenchman in the news today but something drastic as in ChiKiSpirit's book. There are some people here who know what drastic means by me you only have to ask Dave the mechanic I think he probably got the worst measure. TTFN

Hope this finds you well.
Colleen's son has a job in Florida, and has invited us over. We only have to find air fare, which is pretty cheap these days. He wants us to bring Christmas pudding as they don't have it out there.
You have my best wishes for the new year and sincerely hope you find a job.
I will look at your link next year when we return.

May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
May the rain fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of his hand

lovely to hear from you again!
I am doing a project at the moment. Just as soon as I have it written up I shall put it in whichever review they see fit.
Happy New Year if I cannot salute you before.
May all your troubles be little ones and don't swallow 12 grapes all at once

What have you and your lovely wife been up to this week Liquid?

she's the girlfriend and we're not married
Well the strong winds blew down a tree in her garden and we have been replacing glass in her greenhouse too.
On Friday 19th I had my second eye operation, this time on the right eye. They say it was a success. It is painful but that will wear off. I will not have to wear glasses except for reading now, they say. It is very good.I had long vision in the left eye and a lazy eye which had reduced vison and had to be done because of that and the right had a cateract.
We have been looking for 2 bedroom bungalows. She has a large tudor 3 bedroom house and it is too big and what with the stiars, she decided to change.
I am co-writing a TV play based on one of my own short stories.

So what's your week been like?

My week has been lovely. I have managed to spend a lot of time in the fresh air and I am alsmost back to my old self.
Tudor House? That sounds interesting.

Good to hear your week has been lovely. I have been taking Colleen's dog out and it is nice to stroll along across the grass. It is a little Yorkie. Mine was a Border Collie, but she passed away in 2005.
It is very cold, but bright and sunny at the moment. I don't like the snow. I hate the cold, it eats into my joints and makes me ill. I love the heat, it can get as hot as itlikes and it doesn't effect me. We have booked short break away to a country house in May and are looking forward to it. In April we are attending a ladies weekend in Bournemouth, then there is our own ladies weekend in September.

I am so sorry to hear that your Border Collie passed away.
It is always traumatic when a pet dies. You are lucky you can take Colleen's little Yorkie out.
I hope you enjoy your ladies' weekend in Bournemouth.
I once knew some people in Bournemouth who had Corgis
They are probably dead now. They were old when I was a child.

Having dug my way here through the snow I am waiting for my flat to warm up.
Hope you are well, and I must say sorry for not having been on for some time.
I have been fighting the council, who haven't emptied the bins for 2 weeks.

I must tell you about my fuchsias.
I'll add you to my friend's list and then you will be able to read it when the fuchsia stories come up in my journal.
How will you and Coll be spending Valentine's Day?

Valentine's Day we went to a restaurant. I bought her 12 red roses and a bottle of champange. Then she wanted to see a film called Music & Lyrics with Hugh Grant which we saw. I am taking her away for 4 nights in May to Alvaston Hall, which is an old manor house turned hotel.
And you?

The Bournemouth trip was fun and we won a further two nights stay there so went down again a week later. We had two free nights and got a room with sea view and balcony. The weather wasn't too good, but Colleen has friends in Christchurch and we went to visit them.
Hope you are well, sorry for long silence, just found this it was buried under a load of other threads.
Cheers

Don't worry. I have had a few traumas and moved a few times.
Things seem to be a lot better where I am now.
I have a new companian. A border terrier. He is lovely and he gets up to lots of mischief
