Well, I can explain what he meant, since he beat me to it.
The person duplicates, but one goes into the multi-port. When the original is defeated, the duplicate comes out. When the duplicate is defeated, another one comes out.
Coupled with the original regeneration power of the IGMPD, imagine the possibilities!

...except that the majority of the ability for the bulk of the IGMPD to regenerate comes from the Zerg creep...the continuity shield aids this a great deal in the weapons and stuff...
