Actually, I think "dunny" is a stereotypical Aussie thing to say. I don't actually know anyone who uses that word, except if they're trying to be funny or stupid. We call it a toilet.

You do occasionally get the odd crazy guy who will wear sandals in winter - a lot of people wear them in the summer, though. But some people also like wearing sneakers, and some people like wearing boots - it really all depends, I guess...
Everybody wears different stuff - we're all individuals.

I think Australia is actually becoming more like America, although I'm probably not the best judge there, considering I've never been to America personally. But from what I've heard, we are. Especially with our Prime Minister kissing up to your President... (I'll probably get arrested for that now...)
