OK - I'm the local fruitcake... I flip out on a regular basis, forget to be interested in others opinions (which irritates me alot, as I rely on these opinions to keep my life interesting), and have a burning desire to change the world.
Radically.
Have you read the Bible, and wondered at the dreams that are given as proof of the "End Days"? Have you read the disciples descriptions of their visions, and wondered at the similarities to every-day, normal life? Streets paved of gold could well be referring to the cost of a simple tar road. The disciples were visionaries, and like most visionaries, gave the most literal description possible. Nostradamus, Colin Wilson, Steven Hawkings, Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams... their views on life, their visions, describe a life we are currently living. The similarities between their lines of thought and current reality have twigged my mind, and refuse to let it go.
I know how and when and where the end of the world is going to take place. Well, I have guestimates... and I think I have a solution.
But the implementation is eluding me.
Over the next few weeks I will attempt to document these similarities, and would appreciate any feedback, suggestions and criticism - on my style of writing (which has lost most of its perfectionism since high school) and on my ideas (which has quite frequently lost touch with reality).
