A curious little piece Certainly worth the time it takes to read. Raises a few questions and leaves them hanging mysteriously in the air. Like a good ghost story should.

Make sure you use the expression 'skeleton in the closet' in your intro. It may be a cliche, and some editors might fear for giving to much away in the intro, but my experience is that readers need to be well enticed or informed before they will click on a link.

Glad to see the WAZ is taking on all sorts of UGly and CAC-C responsibilities. Not just because it's time someone else had a crack at doing what needs doing round here but because I have it on good athourity that several researchers have expressed their pleasure at his style and wit.

So it's a race then? Whoever gets an issue finished first, before Sunday night, gets to be in next week's issue.

You could probably work up a bunch of entries on education for a CAC-C. That's linked up enough to the Skeleton in the Closet. I think I remember some from Darth Zaphod... and I'm confident she wouldn't mind

Glad you asked.

It was in the Yahoo thread where several people had replied to your posting about editorial vacations. And you were commenting on their replies. The net result of scanning several postings all under your original heading lead to my confusion.

I lost track of who was talking and when someone said something about "my husband and I" I thought it was you talking. I was surprised, slapped my forehead, and carried on reading the backlog.

Because I was hurriedly scanning for any CAC-C business that might be of relevance to me and maintaining a less diligent review of UG business details I did not always take the time to be sure who had made each and every posting. Somehow the comment about "my husband" was assigned to you.

Happily (not that it matters here - ) your cojones are now re-instated to their rightful (or leftful) place in my universe.

No ..just my usual 'too much information'.
I probably should have just said it's done, sorta.

But it occurred to me that I might yet have a flash of inspiration or even spot a typo if the good lord's willin' and I have the time.

References to god as the variable factor in short term ambitions are much more sympatheticly recieved and reveal much less of my ego-centric and automachismotic nature. I apologise for any offense or misdirection which my high octane special interests might have caused.

One can never be sure where the shazz lurketh.
She constantly amazes me by finding these notes in the dozens of obscure threads and irregular conversations we seem to have all over the site.

No you don't have to read my assemblage - I do sincerely recommend the entries at least if not my own ranting reviews - and yes, I believe you volunteered to be the one to notify shazz. This might save her the trouble of worrying where we've got to.

And I will do up one more issue as a reserve shortly, before I lose my ISP connection. In addition to Waz who is also working on one, I believe Darth Zaphod will be trying her hand at editing an issue or two ..or three.

Reduced, relieved, recreating, re-creating and maybe reading a book for a change. But not removed or irrevocably gone. I'll be back full time in the fall and for the summer months I'll be monitoring events from libraries and cyber cafes. I want to put the top down on my TR6 and see how the real world has changed in the four years since I got online and discovered h2g2.

I hope that the Continuum will continueth in my partial absense and that younger more energetic spirits will carry on the mission. With any luck it'll be bigger and better than ever once I stop being so bossy about it. Carry on!

My "reduction" problems may be in abeyance at the moment, knock on linoleum, unless I just jinxed myself.
