Things are pretty much running normally, which is nice I think I've got a bit of a routine going now with the job and running my health system. I did have to get some new batteries for the blood glucose meter yesterday. A battery symbol came on the screen and then went away so I thought better safe than sorry and replaced them.
This weekend is going up to Manchester. I've got the day off on monday as I'll be seeing my dentist first thing and then travelling back to London in the afternoon.
I forgot about going to see them. Got carried away with other things

When I saw them on the daisies for the galaxy tour they were great
I'll want to know if he's still playing that little (half size?) guitar.

nae point worrying just a bad result from a recent smear test just means i've got start the process of going to the docs every half hour for tests! ... okay slight exaggeration, but it means more icky stuff.
i've got this dream that E comes to the School for a tour (being a sensetive, artistic soul) he pops his head into my office (that happens alot - tourists popping their heads in) see me, the rest is sheer heaven

As long as it does turn out OK, that'll be good There seem to be far too many cases of misdiagnosis of the results popping up on TV but there you go. As you say nae point worrying.
Somehow I don't think I want to know what the rest (the sheer heaven bit) of that dream is about

E's beard is really doing it for me now (too much information?) now don't laff, but you know when the talk about women having penis envy ... not me ... i have beard envy. i would love to grow a beard (on my face ) it must be wonderful to change your appearance like that just by not shaving for a couple of day (must have some deep psychological need to change or some such nonsense) but you can grow all sorts of beards - wee goattees, big, full dusty-bin laden type beards, pirate beards - now they're cool!
okay, so i'm a fruit!

Been a while since I had a beard, being clean shaven is far less hassle than all fussing you need for things like goatees.
What I find is a problem is those blokes who try as they might can't get anywhere with beard growing. 2 good friends of mine have tried and ended up looking silly with just one of those tufts growing from the chin. I don't know, some people...

I hope the dentist wasn't too bad (reminds me i really need to go)
Forgot that i had a couple of days off this week, lovely, spent them in bed
they were brilliant! i could give you the 6 page version i wrote when i incredibly stoned and avoiding other work! but in a nutshell (which is, if you think about it, a silly place for them to be) they were great. they wore full kilt outfits - they looked a bit like a wedding band. boy i wish i had been down the front when they were playing dog faced boy (have you bought the album yet?) cos E played his little piano/organ thing at the same time as playing the drums - if they were wearing their kilts traditionally, the crowd would have gotten an eyeful
lets see, they played all of the new album and a couple each from the others. 'I like birds' was a crowd pleaser (or I like Burds as a glasgow crowd sang) they played all the old favourites - life's a m**********r, cancer for the cure, climbing to the moon (lovely song), daisies of the glaxay and wodden nickels. they did an eels version of get u'r freak on by missy elliott and they masterfully mixed the trogs wild thing with mr e's beautiful blues
they played for nearly 2 hours, they did 5 or 6 encores - Butch sang! which was incredibly funny and lovely. he's got such an angelic voice, beautiful, he sang a song about having big feet! i thought E handled the crowd well, he was funny and witty; very entertaining. i don't know about you; i've been to gigs in other places, but there's something unique about a barralands crowd - when they smell fear they pounce (apparently had the little boy from starsalior greeting, with the abuse, when they supported the manics) but e was really funny. the kilts were good, but my only criticism is that E didn't get naked (boo hiss) and he missed his window of opportunity with me, while i was done the front and to the side, but ho-hum... his loss!
