Cat-Eyes: No..... why.... ?

I think the things Dani was talking about with the Participation, Credit, Distinction and High Distinction are the National Competitions run by the University of NSW. They're not normal grades. They're what you get for participating in the Science and Geo and whatever other subjects they run, competitions.

At my school we go from UG - ungraded (so bad they didn't give you a grade) to A+. The lowest you can get before you get a UG is about an E, I think, but it sorta depends on the subject.

Congrats Ena!!! smiley - applausesmiley - applause

"More or less shows my point.
Grades like 'A' or 'High Distiction' are very good, just how do they fit in the structure? What structure ? "

Traveller....

that is the very question being debated by the country in paper on exam results...

Overall one side saying exams are getting too easy so a more people pass then it is becoming harder to differentiate between average and good students (96% passed A levels this year)... They also blame this on exam results getting easier...

Then other side is saying education has improved so much it is no surprise that students are passing...

Personally I believe that to get a general pass is easier to do these days. To excel and get good marks is still bloody hard and it is a good definer of excellant students...

I only passed my exams - never excelled when maybe I should of... So all qdos to Ena for doing so well. My only complaint with exams is that they are not a good enough preparation for real working life and unless you are doing speacilised subjects to get a specific job they are useless for anything else to do in working life.

Yeah, congrats smiley - biggrin
Personally I love exams as I'm lazy and I don't have to do any work for exams, where as I do for course work. However I got accepted to do Nurse training, so I'll soon be allowed to administer drugs and stuff... By force if neccesary smiley - evilgrin
