Sorry, Shazz... 
I won't be able to make it. It's a combination of RL events that keeps me from appearing.
I've started my articled clerkship which restricts the amount of hollidays I get and plasters me with work. My Significant Other is going to sit her bar exam the first two weeks of October and I promised her to try and soothe her nerves while doing mock tests with her Plus we are booked for a short trip to Paris in October after the exams ...
All statements to the effect that I really can't make it to the meet. I am sorry ...

Never mind though - it's important to support your SO and a trip to Paris sounds wonderful.
