The Lord is our Saviour
Our powers doth wane
When we show our behaviour
to those who are vain
We attempt to show love
but sometimes we fail
when our prayers to above
come to no avail
We must show patience
to those who need care
Perhaps love seems a dalliance
of which others are not aware
May your God go with you
give you strength and support
May you receive what is due
at the time you depart
For your God is my God
My Lord is yours too
Friend give me a nod
and let our love continue
I wrote this prayer last year. Tonight I dedicate it to a family friend and VC's father-in-law, who lost his fight with cancer a couple of hours ago.
Any messages should be for Virtuouschuffed and her husband V.

I'm so sorry 
I lost my f-i-l to cancer a few years ago, and a good friend (our choir leader)a few weeks ago, so I know how you feel
