Happy Twelfth Night!
Posted Jan 5, 2012
If you haven't already, it's time to get those decorations down. Maybe the high winds in parts of the UK have already given you a helping hand. I took mine down on the third. New Year, new employment, new outlook. I couldn't wait to get started on 2012. The last few weeks have been so busy and so crowded. I'm really happy to be getting back to 'normal' now (or a revised version of it) and back to h2g2.
For some people, 2012 is the year that the olympics comes to the UK. For others, it's the year the world ends. For me, it's the year I become self-employed and also get to see TWOTW Live! Those other two events probably won't take up much of my time. It's also the year our founder would have celebrated his 60th birthday. So...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
May you have a truly great one.

I'm Not Here
Posted Dec 15, 2011
You didn't see me, ok?
I have so much to do and so little time to do it in. Thought I should at least glance at h2g2 for the first time in several days. It seems to be coping ok.
Now they've announced the party for Douglas, just before Xmas, I've got the logistics of that to think about too.
But for now it's back to the wrapping.

Now the real work starts
Posted Dec 10, 2011
So the project has the go-ahead, as do I, and I have to glean all I can about self-employment by the end of the year. Maybe that's why I had the strange dream last night about somebody surreptitiously deposting a small digger in my back garden in the middle of the night.

Quietly Fuming
Posted Dec 9, 2011
I don't seem to get angry very often any more. But today I am not pleased with someone. I don't like feeling angry. And I don't like dishonesty. It breeds dishonesty. Got a lot of stuff to get done today, so hopefully by the time I have tackled some of that, the anger will have subsided to a degree where I can deal with the person who has made me feel in a level-headed and constructive way.

Gonna build a shed...
Posted Dec 8, 2011
I suddenly feel the urge to have a 'workshop'. Somewhere I can get out of the house and go and do something, like a bit of woodwork or writing or anything else that would be aided by being out of the house and in a 'workspace'. No clutter, just room to do stuff. I'll have to give some thought to what I need and where it can be sited. It's going to need power, which is the biggest issue. Anyone want to come and build it for me, er, I mean help me build it?
