Facelift

I feel my space needs a little bit of a facelift (no, not me) smiley - tongueout

But what do I want to put on it? I've been looking around at other researcher's spaces and the ones I like best are the ones that give me a little bit of (possibly misguided) insight into who they are, particularly if they are unknown to me. A personal space should be a starting point to getting to know someone, shouldn't it? What's on my space now certainly belongs there and isn't about to suffer a major nip and tuck, but I think I need to add something more. Or maybe I need an 'about me' page? Something is missing, but what? smiley - erm

Woking

aka 'standing in the kitchen wondering what you came in here for'.

However, in this case it applies to my journal. smiley - erm

Firefox Personas

Got Firefox and Photoshop Elements reinstalled yesterday, and as I found myself with an unexpected day off, decided to have a go at making a Persona for Firefox. I'm now the proud creator (and wearer) of Pegasus Blue. smiley - cheerup

Just something simple to start with, so I could get to grips with how it works. None too sure about the footers though. smiley - erm To see your footer you have to have the 'add-on bar' switched on (which I now do), but other than depriving you of a bit of web page, I can't see the point in it. Can you?

I definitely want to spend a bit more time making stuff in Photoshop. I just need something to create (ideally with payment at the end).

Pah, technology

Just when you think your internet connection problems are over... erm, they aren't. Connection has been practically non-existent all weekend and first thing this morning. Working again now, but for how long? At least I managed to get some work done and emails sent.

I also have a printer that needs to be dismantled and thoroughly cleaned, in the hopes it will start printing in full colour again. And a desktop PC that is behaving very oddly indeed and has got a virus and/or other problems causing it to run slowly, stop responding, refuse to reply to emails, etc etc. I really don't want to have to do a clean install to get things working again. Virus scanner isn't finding anything though.

And I've run out of (paid) work. Next up (ISP permitting), in between cleaning printer, is desperately trying to find a job and/or further hours to keep the self-employment thing ticking over. Printer and PC problems have stopped me making and printing fliers. Aaargh!

Maybe I should just resign myself to the dole queue again. smiley - shrug
