This appears to have become a weekly event, instead of daily. Looks like it's going to have to be even less, as we've now had official notice that the spies are at work, and they know exactly what we're doing. Apparently they even monitor our phone calls.
Gran is driving me insane. 'Do you want something to eat?' Do you want something to drink?' 'Do you want to come and stay with me?' 'Have you not got a coat?' 'Here, wear my coat.' 'Oh, I daren't even go out on my own anymore, I ran out of cigs yesterday, but I just can't go out and get some more.' Well, then you'll just have to go cold turkey, won't you Gran. I'm not going to fetch them for you. Much as I like not having the parents around, having to see Gran four days a week takes the shine off it. Part of me is wishing they'd hurry and get back.
College night out is cancelled, due to lack of demand. Which is very good for me, isn't it. Friday night and I'm staying in again. Eh, well, there's always Friends, and Nikita's starting a new series. And there's all those Bond films I taped. That'll keep me busy until it's time for cocoa.
Rang a place in Whitby about the Halloween weekend away, but they're all booked up, so we'll have to try somewhere else. I'm still up for camping up near the Abbey, but some of the group like their luxuries too much. Wimps, the lot of them. Why do you need central heating? It's only the end of October. We'd be in nice little two-man tents on the hill above Whitby. It wouldn't be cold at all. Much. Well, maybe a bit, but we could drink lots of Brandy to make up for it. Being next to the Abbey during a sea fret on Halloween will more than make up for the Hypothermia.
Sister has split up with bloke 2. Sort of. He's been seeing his ex and has asked her to come back, so he's dumping sister. But still seeing her a bit. It's sort of complicated and involves her letting him know she cares and him abusing that fact. Would like to get him kneecapped with his own gun, but think sister will not appreciate it. He has now bought a ferrett to aid in his murder campaign. If it had come up against my recently deceased rabbit, Pike, in the prime of his life, it wouldn't have stood a chance. He might have been the smallest rabbit in the world, but he was also the most vicious. Unless you scratched his ears. Which I don't think ferrets are all that likely to do.
Went to reserves on Tuesday. We lost again. 1st team play Wimbledon tomorrow. We've got to win soon, it's only a matter of time, there's as much chance against Wimbledon as anyone else. And we're on Match of the Day, so we've got to win to shut them up. Maybe I should try and steal whatsisfaces wellies, that might put him off managing his team.
Psycho woman had a go at me because her little yappy ratdogs barked at my Sam and frightened him, and I told her she should keep them on a lead if she couldn't control them. She actually had to pick them up to move them, and didn't appear to have one lead between the four of them. Have been on same walk at same time every night since in hope of a fight, but she was not there. Care in the community is all very well, but I think they should make sure these people's medication is strong enough before they let them out alone.
Almost time to go now. Only got to see Gran three more times and then not until Christmas. Maybe I should wear my coat to walk the 50 feet from the car to her flat. And a bobble hat and mittens.

It's been a week since my last entry. I've managed to cut down net usage a bit, but not enough to fool the computer spies. Must try harder.
Parents have gone. Yippee!!! Have to see Gran every day. Boo! Have to get up at 6 every morning to walk dog and drop him off at Gran's. Boo!
Parents departed on Stardate 210999, and haven't even bothered to ring and let me know they got there ok. Not that I want to talk to them you understand, but they're supposed to care enough to ring and I'm supposed to be annoyed that they don't think I'm old enough to cope alone. That's the way parent-child relationships are supposed to be. Father hasn't even bothered to call to speak to the dog, who isn't actually missing him as much as expected.
Haven't had much time at home to enjoy lack of old people. Had football on two nights this week. First team beat Stoke 3-1 on Wednesday. Fantastic!!!! The only way is up, things can only get better and various other 80s pop songs. Reserves lost to Newcastle last night, but played very well and was enjoyable.
Sister has become so southernised that she rang at 7.30 on Wednesday (I 1471'd when I got home) and didn't realised there was a match. Lives down south for nine months, forgets her roots. She'll be talking like a yokel next.
College is still a bit dull, but managed to have a go on computer in learning centre before class. Unfortunately cannot get onto net without a logon name and because is start of term with lots of new students, the computer people haven't had chance to give out the logon names yet. You'd think they would have expected some students to turn up in September and have been prepared.
Had very good time supermarket shopping alone on Tuesday. Bought lots of nice stuff, and only vegetables were carrots - for Mulder and Scully. Have got myself and espresso maker and now cannot sleep because of caffeine overdose. Don't care.
Gran still wants to feed me every night. Have managed to skillfully avoid it so far with excuse of football, but have no excuse tonight. Maybe could lie and say am going out. She also wants me to go and stay with her, because I might not like being on my own. As if! Would love it if parents decided to retire to Malta and not come back. So long as they didn't sell the house and evict me. Which they would have to do to afford to retire.
Have only got ten minutes to go before home time. The second best thing about work is home time. The first best thing is, of course, pay day. Which is on Thursday. Which is lucky because my bank account is minus (just for a change) and I'm going out for a big college get-together on Friday, which would backfire considerably if I had no cash.
The mighty mini is playing up. Big time. Preliminary checks discovered exhaust was doing nodding dog impression. Took to garage. Rubber thing had fallen off. New one attached. Exhaust problem was solved. Unfortunately mini is still not better. Wants to stall all the time. Have to keep foot on accelerator when in traffic jams. Get dirty looks from lollypop lady for revving engine when small children are crossing road. Am going to get book out and try to mend myself as would rather spend money on other things and garages are rip-off merchants anyway. Father would know how to fix it, but where is he in a crisis? Sunning himself on some golden beach, and not even bothering to ring to speak to the dog.
Five minutes to go.

Bad news. Have been told spies in the computer department are going to start monitoring on-line time and whereabouts. Will have to restrict web movements during working hours. Will definitely have to find out if college will give me internet access.
Still got stinking cold. Is even worse now.
Did nothing last night because felt too crap.
Did quite a bit of work today, but bored to death.
Can't really be arsed with this at the moment. Cold is in my brain and making me pathetic and winey. Just want to go home and eat chicken soup and feel sorry for myself.

Bit of a problem with having Tuesday off for college instead of Wednesday. Have no computer on Wednesday as everyone is in. Have spent most of day going through e-mails and stuff. Didn't manage to do all weekend e-mails and stuff on Monday either, so built up for today. Will have to check out learning centre at college to see if can get internet access. Think I can.
College is a bit of a let down. Only two people I know on each course, and no breaks so can't chat to anyone, whether I know them or not. Suppose it might improve when we do group projects later in year. Did not get much gossip on people who were there last year. Turns out one girl's throwing up was not caused by exam nerves after all. She is going to have a baby quite soon, so is not coming back this year. Passed all her exams as well.
Grandma had fall on Tuesday. Went to see her yesterday and was very sympathetic for half and hour. She is suing the council, which is always worth doing. Unfortunately got guilted into agreeing to go for tea while parents are away. Vegetables cooked until they are grey and mushy and lots of salt in everything. Apparently she learnt to cook in the war. You can do anything so long as you've got potatoes, bread and eggs, so she tells me. Although her mash, mushy peas and bacon fry up did sound quite nice.
Had interview on Tuesday. Went OK. Apart from main question was "why should we give you the job?". Hate interviewers. What kind of people are they trying to employ? No one would normally be able to answer questions like that. English people are not brought up to boast. Still, have learnt quite a lot about bullsh*tting on law course (fundamental element of being a lawyer), so managed some kind of answer. Although don't remember what was said. Mind always blanks out stressful situations afterwards.
Football is going apallingly badly. Drew 0-0 at Stoke. This was viewed by club as good result. Would like to think cannot get any worse, but expect it will.
Have got cold. Feel crap. Everything tastes bad. Cannot breathe. Sister says should eat lots of oranges. Don't like fruit. No e-numbers. Things with no chemicals cannot possibly be good for you, and definitely cannot cure colds. Will try alcohol and medication instead. But maybe not together.
Nearly time to go home. Have had to do some work today. Not much. In between catching up on 'net life. Have decided will win lottery and not work again. Is too much hassle.

Zoe Ball induced joy was a bit premature. She is not leaving for six months. B****r. Rumour is she will be replaced by Sara Cox. Not sure that is much of an improvement. May stick with Darryl Denham.
Football induced optimism was also a bit premature. Got beaten 2-0. By Everton. Oh, the shame. Still, it could be worse. My grandfather was a Unitedite, he could have taken me over to the dark side.
College starts today. Have not read any of my new books. Am not ready to start yet. Can we have a longer summer holiday? Will now be off work on Tuesdays instead of Wednesdays, to accommodate 'learning experience'. Am also going on Monday, but after work. Looking forward to seeing mates I have not seen since May. Might even be able to gloat (inwardly of course) over exam results. Although didn't do too well, from what I have been told most people did worse. Unfortunately, most of mates are not doing same courses as me this year, so will not be able to get together for a good chat. Also, as lessons are only two hours long, probably no break, so no opportunity for good chat.
Have had to do work at work today. Quite a lot of it. 30+ letters. Disgraceful. Especially for a Monday. Just want to go to sleep. Instead have to work.
Finished A Game of Thrones last night. Excellent book. Started straight away on second in series (A Clash of Kings?). This is why am tired today. Must learn to go to be before midnight on Sunday.
Finished C is for Corpse at dinner (Pasta Italienne). Is good. Did not manage to work it out until quite near end, had suspicions, but not definite until a few seconds before Kinsey realised.
Will have to start reading text books at dinner for while now. Very dull. Am also abandoning quote of the day in favour of case of the day. Maybe will help me remember them. Have to remember years this time as well, which is extremely unhelpful.
Have job interview tomorrow. Not looking forward to it. Will try and find place tonight as is quite close to college. Best to make sure know where it is, rather than sit in car park for half an hour, or be late.
Weekend was pretty dull. Apart from football, went supermarket shopping, read, played Theme Hospital (stuck on last level), watched motor racing (Hakkinen cried, Frentzen won). Managed to reach M for Manson (or is it Mansun?) in CDs. Now over half way to the end. Has only taken over a month! Stripped wallpaper off bottom half of walls and painted plaster blue - now Mulder and Scully are thwarted, I've got there before them. Less mess and the pleasure of seeing them trying to scrape plaster off the walls with their teeth. Serves the little b****rs right.
Sister must be in love with Bloke 2. He shot a pigeon and she ate some of it because he asked her to. I don't have as much against shooting pigeons as I have shooting rabbits, but I still wouldn't eat one. Then again, I knew she was mad about him (even though she denies it) ages ago, because she talks about nothing else.
Still more work to do and only 45 minutes to go. Have to leave on time today, to get tea before going to college.
