The Cake Files
Cake, Mrs Cake. Very pleased to meet you. Maybe I should tell you a little about myself. There are somethings you should know, that may help if you decide to read my journal (I know you will, you might say you just looked at the cover, but you won't be able to not read it. Not that it matters, if I wanted it kept private, I wouldn't have put it on here. Must be an exibitionist). I am from a little pennine backwater in England. On the right side of the pennines, in the Peoples Republic of Yorkshire. Some call it God's own country, but Chris Waddle is from Sunderland, I'm sure. That leads me nicely onto my main character feature. I support Sheffield Wednesday Football Club. Ridicule me if you must. Belittle my team. It makes no difference. I have no choice in the matter. You would not pick on someone because of their race or a disability. Well you might, but you'd deserve a good kicking if you did. Anyway, back to my point. Football allegiances are something a person is born with, something they have no choice about. Apart from a lot of supporters of Man Utd. And Liverpool. And Chelsea. Is there anymore to The Cake than Wednesday? Well I'm a law student (lawyers - boo! hiss!). I work in an office. And in a bar. It's an expensive business, this studenting. I have two rabbits - Mulder (the big manic dark one) and Scully (the little unflappable ginger one). They live in my bedroom. They are only young, so no, they are not house-trained. But they will be, or they'll be stew a'cookin in the Cake household come Christmas. I drive a Mini - the only car to drive. It's a limited edition Sidewalk in charcoal, with a turquoise and red interior. I've had a fair few accidents, but they're never my fault. Especially that last one. It was completely the fault of the wall. Why didn't it move when it saw me coming? You or I would have shifted quick-sharp. I have parents. And a sister. But no Mr Cake. Yet. As you will see from my journal (I know you'll read it, don't try and kid me. You're curiosity will get the better of you. It's not very exciting, but it'll make you feel a whole lot better about yourself) I don't have much of a life. I live vicariously, through anyone who will tell me their story. I like to listen to stories about other people's lives. If you want to tell me a story, a little tale of something that happened in your life, then you can leave it on this page. If it's a bit more personal, then please drop me a line at [email protected]. I'd be happy to read it. And I won't tell a soul. Promise. Apart from that, I read quite a lot, and I love music. I read pretty much anything that I can. I usually have two books on the go at once - a daytime book and a nighttime book. Terry Pratchett is my absolute favourite, but I'll read any kind of book, by anyone. My taste in music is fairly wide. I don't have a favourite song or band or album. I love too much music to even narrow it down to a top ten. Current favourite might get a mention in the journal. But it might not. Depends on my mood.Latest Messages
