Well, they must have bitten me or something, because I felt really dreadful by the time I got to w*rk this morning. I'm home now, trying to keep myself together until the first available doctor's appointment at 10am tomorrow. It's still the residue of that ing migraine. I'm getting seriously concerned.

mmmm doesn't sound too good, you might have a virus or something
have plenty to drink (non alcohol) an curl up in bed
Hey Ivan
Ivan the Terribly Average Posted Oct 18, 2004
My rational side says it's probably a virus. My less rational side says there's a problem with my antidepressants. My East European fatalistic side says it's probably a brain tumour. My optimistic side says that if that's the case, at least I won't have to bother about increasing my superannuation contributions.
The rest of me says I'm thinking about it far too much.
I have a stock of non-alcoholic fluids in the fridge, and I'll have a good night's sleep. Right now, my brain's restless so I'm giving it a run here.

It could be just the stress of hating your job, I know most days I get really wound up before going to the mill, I end up feeling really ill, headache and nausea, it was worse at the beginning of the season, now it is just once or twice a week
stress combined with anti deps could be a bad mix
I should be in bed and I will go soon I have had about 4 hours so far, but woke up earlyier with a rumbly belly mmmmmmmmmmmmmm fruit bread toast and promite and a yum, I wake up wanting the strangest of things
Hey Ivan
Ivan the Terribly Average Posted Oct 18, 2004
Promite is strange, yes.
Some days I cope better with the job - but I need to be in good physical health before I can make that adjustment.
Oh how I wish I'd been able to get to the today...

I hate that about when you really need to see them you can't get in, when you don't really need to see them(just to get a script refill) you can get in straight away
I'm off to bed again, as far as I know the mill is down so it should, should, should, be an alright night
sleep well and I hope all goes well for you tomorrow
Hey Ivan
Heleloo - Red Dragon Incarnate Posted Oct 18, 2004
The mill was down an probably will be till fri/sat
but still got a crappy job, had to clear the filter feed lines as someone(ie the village idiot) close the feed valve an left the lines full of mud, I got covered in smelly sandy mud
how are you this morning, feeling any better?
Hey Ivan
Ivan the Terribly Average Posted Oct 18, 2004
When did Dubya start working in a sugar mill in Queensland?
I'm feeling perfectly dreadful, and the is at 10am. I might log off soon, head into town, and just mooch about for a while to see if I can distract myself somehow.
Hey Ivan

mate' I'll be around later, I'm about to go to bad anyway, got things to do this arvy, so I want a bit of a nap now
Hey Ivan
Ivan the Terribly Average Posted Oct 19, 2004
'I'm about to go to bad'... That's either a typo, or a very entertaining way to spend an afternoon.
I have the rest of the week off w*rk, along with adjusted medication, the certain knowledge that I haven't suffered any neurological trouble, and a bit of medical gossip about a definite rise in the number of new cases of depression since the Federal election.
Now, what shall I do between now and Monday? Any suggestions?
Hey Ivan

oh you lucky, lucky thing
rest, eat, drink, relax, bubble baths, read, shop, potter(around the house), , you will need a holiday to get over your days off
I will have a loverly boring shift tonight, it is raining again, and a bit of a storm out to the southwest, is making things a bit noisy, more storms are expected later, and a hail warning is out, I won't waste a sickie by not going in
I'm only up cos I got a friend to take me to the mill to pick up some bags of sugar, every year we get to get some sugar cheap, I don't get it for me but I take orders for friends, I will go back to bed soon, at least it is cool an dark
Hey Ivan
Ivan the Terribly Average Posted Oct 19, 2004
Cheap sugar! Well at least you get some perks from the job. I can't say I'd be too bothered with it - I have a 500g tub of the stuff in the cupboard, where it's sat for about 18 months undisturbed - so I'd be distributing it to other people too.
Here's my plans for the rest of the week:
Wednesday - sleep in, clean the kitchen, laze about.
Thursday - sleep in, raid the second-hand bookshops in Fyshwick, laze about.
Friday - rest day. Laze about only.
Does that sound reasonable?
Hey Ivan
Heleloo - Red Dragon Incarnate Posted Oct 19, 2004

I saw the new photo... Nice hat!
I'm not sure what I'm doing out of bed - something to do with sunrise before 5:30, probably. I have a slight headache, but it's not too bad. It'll go soon.
I really must clean the kitchen today. I'm telling myself that I'll start as soon as I've cleared the backlog here. I wonder if that's a lie.
Hey Ivan
