Ivan, I was going to ask you how you were doing on the front on your gardening thread, but this is better.
especially as we haven't been for a while.
I am truly pleased. I hope you haven't had any more dreams but perhaps that was a warning

No more dreams, Websailor, though I think I might have them every now and then in future. I jut have to remember not to panic when I wake up.

Today, I get to feel smug about having clocked up six entire smoke-free months. There's nothing to be said about it really, except that I've been wanting to get to this position for about a decade, and I'm very very happy to have managed it at last.

Giggle...yes, it's incredibly fun, but will possibly get lots of in real life from folks who haven't managed it, so stick to online smugness, we can all, if necessary, hiss and spit at you, admire you, aspire to your determination, maybe doubt you're telling the truth, whatever...such are the joys of the internet!!!!
But then give genuine support and stuff. Well done mate, glad i didn't have to be physically there through the worst bits, 'cos i know how grim it gets.
( i am currently trying to tell RK "do as i say, not as i do!" dreadful stuff, stay off it *cough*, oh go on then, have a puff if you must"..., i am not one to quote glass houses and stone throwing)
SMUG is GOOD, SMUG is , stay off the weed, work out how much you have saved, come and visit me in france and one of these days i will give up too...maybe.
Do go and say hi to psychocandy, who has also been battling, she is probably at the stage you were a couple of months back.
I reckon there isn't much point now for me, hah! Saw a thing in a magazine the other day "if you have any of the following, see your doctor without delay:
"breathlesness, fatigue, coughing up blood." Er...can i get extra points for 3 out of 3, more important, can i get health insurance to actually tell the doc this, 'cos i sure as hell can't afford lung cancer ....can you imagine the cost of all that pointless, painful treatment? No point, too late.
Reckon we all know what this means, the lungs beat the liver to it! Very glad you have halted the process. It's not easy realising and accepting the damage we inflict upon ourselves and taking responsibility for it, which ultimately means not burdening the health services too much.
Well done for giving up, "You're a better man than i, Gunga Din!"
(Mind you, i did hear that he was into not just nicotine, but type smokeable stuff...tut tut tut)
