Yesterday I took the first half of a two-day class on html and website development. LOL! I didn't learn much since I've known how to do basic html for more than a year thanks to h2g2.
Of course, I can't explain to my boss that I do this weird web-thing on the side, so I needed to take a class to 'justify' my knowledge. Silly, innit?
And last night was open house at my daughter's school. We got to meet her teachers and principal and hear the PTO make a pitch to give them money and volunteer to serve on committees. I'm now signed up to help with 'creative writing' whatever that means!
And my daughter's teacher tells us that she is one of the kids who writes in a journal every day.
OK, so she doesn't 'write' words every day, but she does make drawings and write captions for them. She's only in kindergarten!

Slowly, but surely, we are getting settled into the new house.
We're painting our eldest daughter's room. Doing landscaping, fixing plumbing problems left over from the previous homeowner, and generally taking care of business.
For a special treat we went to Hersheypark Stadium last night to see STING in concert. Wow! What a great show that was! He was really energetic and put on a two-hour show that was simply amazing.

The move is over and we're back online. It went well, with the exception of a dent on the top of the washing machine. smiley - winkeye
We're all still getting settled, finding our way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Locating the fridge in the dark for a midnight snack. (Sounds like I do a lot of late night prowling?)

Anyway. Our eldest daughter starts school tomorrow. You'll have to excuse the tears. My baby is growing up.

We've got an army of my disreputable friends lined up to help us with the move. We're renting a 24-foot truck to haul all of our stuff. It's getting more real that we're going to be doing this soon.

What a wash-out!
We had thick, heavy clouds both Friday and Saturday night - no meteor watching for me. smiley - sadface
My eldest daughter and I went out early to look at the moon a bit and by the time we had the small telescope et up, the Moon was obscured by clouds. We barely made it back inside before the rain started.

Oh well, the results are looking pretty good even without my contributions. smiley - winkeye
