Painted Easter eggs with the girls last night - what fun!
My eldest daughter managed to dye her hands a lovely shade of purple that only partially scrubbed off later in the bath tub. Next time I see her teacher at work, I'm sure I'll have some explaining to do.
They are both looking forward to the Easter Bunny's visit.
Me, I'm just looking forward to having off Friday and going to an egg hunt with them on Saturday.

I'm back!
I've been buried under work recently, but I'm starting to dig out and get back online again.
If I seem to be rushing around a bit at first, it's only because I am!

Today is Fasnacht Day in Pennsylvania.
This is a Pennsylvania Dutch tradition in which all the lard and fat in the home was used up on the day before Lent begins. And all that fat was used to make doughnuts - rectangular in shape without holes in the middle.
Even practicing atheists take part it this quasi-religious celebration. These are good doughnuts!

Over night I completed my 600th unit for the Seti@home project!
These 600 units represent 1.927 years of computing time on my desktop computer. I have crunched more data than 95.535% of the users participating in the project.
Bruce (U25551) and I joined on the same day and we're still neck-and-neck in terms of processing units, ranking 19 and 20 out of all h2g2 Researchers in our group.
See Galaxy Babe's brilliant entry on the group and the project at A649893.

Punxsutawney Phil, Pennsylvania's world-famous weather predicting groundhog, saw his shadow early this morning.
This means we're in for six more weeks of winter.
Sorry!
Don't blame the messenger.
