For this week my entry on Mount Joy, Pennsylvania is on the front page of the Sense of Place - Northern Ireland site.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/place-nireland/

This entry is keeping with the theme of my ability to find a Pennsylvania connection to nearly anything - including the 'Glorious Revolution'.

If you've got something to contribute, do contact one of their editors and give them a hand.

My eldest daughter went to the beauty shop and came out with virtually no hair!

She's always had long beautiful hair, but she and my wife went and cut it all off. When I first saw her, I didn't even recognize her.

She is planning to donate her cut hair to 'Locks of Love' - an organization which makes wigs for pediatric cancer patients.

What a sweetheart! And she does look very cute with her new look, just a bit of a shock after seven years.

Hard to believe it was 23 years ago that Three Mile Island had its partial meltdown.

And in the newspaper today it was revealed that TMI really *couldn't* withstand a suicide plane attack like the ones on Sept 11 - despite officials' claims that it could.

In '79 I was in fourth grade and our school closed early. My family fled to the mountains south of Carlisle, Pennsylvania and didn't come home for a couple of weeks.

Something I'll never forget...

Finished looking over John-the-gardener's University of Life project on Tibet - what a wonderful, well-crafted series of entries.

It was an honour to read them - I can't say that I edited them, they were virtually flawless.

These entries may be some of the best ever written on h2g2 - very powerful and moving.
