Hi Irv & Cafram!
*waves back excitedly*
's always welcome -although I'd prefer one of the Aromas special Mochas... any s anybody?
How have you been, both of you? I'm glad you're "back to talk with"
The deadline is for an article in a gazette I sometimes scribble for, and as it's the holiday season.... (pst cafram: the big bandwaggon already gave me a sharp big brother-article ). But today's not my day for eloquence, or snappy writing, I feel kinda tongue-tied ... sorry...
maybe more coffee'd help?
*off to brew some more hawaiian kona*

*Pulls a small box out of his pocket, presses a button on it, and it expands into an IIEM. Brews a mocha*
Here you go!
What's the article on?

thanks!
That's the prob. I don't have a clue. Apart from being their sort of "ask auntie" - that part's done -, I usually fill up the feuilleton [footnote] and just do some babbling about the so-called "modern life". Topic's free to choose, and I still haven't one. Maybe I ask Arlecchino whether I could use online psychics?
Since it's an online paper and all of us are unpaid volunteers who keep it up just for staying-in-contact purposes, it's not that dramatic - I'd just hate to let them down.
But I'm a last-minute-person anyway, working best under pressure .
Say, Irv... where can I get one of those IIEMs ???

[feuilleton: I can't for the life of me guess the english word for that, and no online dictionary gives me a clue. Just the part where they put all the sarcastic, ironic and critizising stuff about assorted categories in? does this rant help at all? I don't think so... ]

Not sure what the translation would be for that.
The boys at CLI can probably get you one of these IIEMs, but I think you have to have some sort of liscence for it. Infinite Improbability technology isn't exactly safe yet....

nope - still in the big unknown - I'm exploiting my university's computers at the mo (no, really - this is course-related )

I've concidered siting this website as a resource in research papers. I wonder how that would go over?
Hey, there
Irving Washington - Gone Writing Posted Sep 4, 2001
siting? citing? Not sure on the spelling. How about "I've concidered putting this website in bibliographies for my research papers"?

hmmm...I think it's citing...but I'm not sure
I've definately considered it - then you can fool yourself into thinking you're studying by being here!!

Ah, that's a plus! The real plus is that you can write a guide article, get it accepted to the edited guide, cite it as a source, and since it's under your nickname and not your real name they can't see that you're using your own theories to prove your theories.

't would be a wonderful idea to just do so . Although I have already the problem of finding reliable sources to cite _in_ a guide entry...
Cafram, any news from your 'puter since then?

cite your essay in your guide entry, and your guide entry in your essay!

there's the catch! write a guide entry about one of my essays?? Who'd want to read _that_?? I'd never get it edited

There was only one catch, and it was Catch H2G2
