If people are offering you free drugs it's either because they like you and want you to have fun with them, or because they think you're innocent and would be funny to laugh at when you get -ed up.
If the people aren't close friends, say no.
There are always exceptions of course; for example people at concerts handing around a joint because they they're having a good time and would like the people around them to be having a good time as well. Or the close friends who want to laugh at you.
And by the way Arisz, different drugs are usually taken in different ways; probably Job's being offered different stuff to what you see being smoked.

Different social groups, too. Different personalities tend to use different types of drugs.

No I mean that if it was cold enough to be curling where I live, then it would be cold where I live... and I'm glad it's not.
Well it is anyway, but it's usually not four-inches-of-ice-on-every-puddle type cold.

Arisztid Lugosi Posted Apr 4, 2005
well no, not here either........
but then i'm sure you have a skating rink despite that... doesnt anyone do curling in NZ?
What robot monkey? Oh, you mean /this/ robot monkey?
Jerms - a Brief flicker and then gone again. Posted Apr 4, 2005
Yeah, down south. Usually the deep south, but it depends how bad the winter is.
We had a skating rink here (Hamilton), but then roller blades became more popular so they closed; the building became a wholesale car mart, and now it's a theatre and venue.
Now the ice hockey teams go up to Auckland, I think. Or maybe across to Rotorua or something.

Cool!
I happened to be in Hobart for the world underwater hockey championships; I peered in through the doors and managed to see my old team competing. I wish I could have joined them.
Yeah I've seen it on TV; that's how I know what it is. The national champs always get a mention on the news in about mid-august.

My god you sound like a twink when you say that.
There's nothing wrong with curling. It's better than rugby, for a start.

Jerms - a Brief flicker and then gone again. Posted Apr 4, 2005
I didn't say you /are/ a twink, I said you sounded like one... it was the way you put the words "total," "dorky," "geek," "for," "liking," and "curling" together into a sentence, in that order.

Arisztid Lugosi Posted Apr 4, 2005
ahh.....
well excuse me.
i'll choose my words more carefully next time.....
however i'd just like to point out that everyone i know does think that about me because i like curling.
and i dont really mind.
you all have no idea what you're missing!

Perhaps I didn't explain myself well enough; I wasn't trying to pin twink-y connotations onto you, it was just that when I read the phrase "total dorky geek for liking curling," I had an image of a twink-type-person saying it, because it seemed appropriate.
Of course, I noticed the negation just before it as well, so that removes all twink-type connotations from you anyway.
Perhaps I just need sleep.
Or perhaps I have a lack of curling... I'd quite like to try it one day; I doubt it'd be my thing, though. Kinda like lawn bowls. Takes skill, and is sortof interesting, but isn't really much of an action sport.
That and it'd be cold and I don't like the cold.
But I'd still be happy to try it.
What robot monkey? Oh, you mean /this/ robot monkey?
Arisztid Lugosi Posted Apr 4, 2005
its ok.
i kind of over reacted...... i'm sorry...
glad you're not pining twinky connotations on me though...nice to hear.
you can come curling with me
i want to go just to try it out. and have alot of fun being silly with it. because i know that at a first attempt i'm going to be loust at it.
and i dont like to be cold eihter. but i figure i can layer up.
so i'll look like a marshmallow, as well as a lousy curler. this is going to be fun!

I always found curling really boring. It just didn't do it for me.
