See to me a truck is a large van or a very small lorry. Unlike the truckers although I've never met one so I couldn't comment.

Are you sure you want to know?
I feel like I'm going to embarrass someone if I talk about my personal life much more.
And it'll probably be me.

Yeah probably will. As long as it's not me...

Oh I found the thread... as an update: I now have an income I can live off. Yay!
And in August, I get to switch over to a student allowance instead of a student loan, which means I won't have to pay back the money I need to live, like I will for the money I'm borrowing now.
But meh, I've pretty much decided they've stuffed me around so much I'm not going to pay it back anyway.
And as a point of interest; sometime in the next couple of months, my debt as a student will tick over past the $50,000 mark. Which is about 150,000 British pounds. Give or take.

i'm glad it all seems to have worked out so nicely!
oooh.....thats a lot of money......
i like this idea of a student allowance. not paying back sounds good to me

A 3:1 exchange rate? I didn't realize it was that high......Not that that's actually high at all........Whatever, anyway........
Glad it worked out!
You want something to eat in celebration? Brownies maybe? That's my favorite dessert...........

I'm supposed to be eligible for a student allowance; it's just a case of the government listing students as an "asset" wherever possible, and happily taking all of our loan repayments and the incredible interest levels, when 95% of the time we're living well below the poverty line anyway.
Students are the only sector in this country who aren't able to get the money we need to live, as a form of benefit. Welfare state my ase.
I could be sitting at home watching TV or playing playstation or whatever, and be getting almost twice what I'm getting now. All I have to do is pretend to be jobhunting. Literally Pretend.
And if I was a 15yo female, pregnant and dropped out of school, living with millionaire parents and not paying any rent/board, I could be getting several hundred without lifting a finger.
Instead, I chose to do a degree which will lead me to a job I think I could be interested in, and I could be productive in, and in exchange the government treats me like scum. that.
In general, I don't approve of breaking systems or social policy; they're there for a reason. But sometimes they need to be broken, for the sake of the people they were designed to protect in the first place.
And when the change comes (aparrantly 2029 is the most accurate prediction for the greater social paradigm shift; a little earlier than I'd remembered it being), I will be ready.
And just as a tangent; I saw my friend G last night... I want him on my side in the revolution. He's a perfect social anarchist. He doesn't bother with poncing around or causing shallow reactions in people for the sake of attention-seeking disturbance. He's much better at staying in the shadows, finding out the structure of a given system, and then working out the easiest way of breaking it with the least cost to himself.
Point in case: as an intellectual excercise, we figured out last night how to completely bugger the university's computer and telephone networks. We just need one piece of equipment to prepare, and I think I saw it in a catalogue a few weeks ago for about $15. If we were to actually do this (but we have nothing against the uni, so we wouldn't) we wouldn't even be on site when things go wrong.
Hmm. Perhaps I should talk with him about WINZ.

Altruism is like fellow-feeling; always thinking about the other guy.
WINZ stands for Work and Income New Zealand; it's part of the Ministry of Social Development, and the department which is directly responsible for pretending to be giving NZers fair opportunity while actually ripping us off for millions. No wait, billions now.
SMP? Hmm...
As a continuing update: I think the drugs are kicking in; I'm starting to find more motivation again. Yay!

Can I have some pills? What colour are they? They probably work better than what people in my school are giving out.
More legal as well.

I don' take candy from strangers and I know the difference between drugs and candy anyway so I'm sure I'll be fine.
Why do they give drugs away for free anyway though?
