a laugh, last week a mate told me that the council had done a house out, not far away from me, they had done it top/bottom, carpets through out and furiture through out and moved a "refugee" family in on the friday, the following friday, council was asking neighbours if they had seen them, they'de done a runner and the only thing left was the floorboards and they knock my money down

son 19 start of june, social knock £44 off, daughter not going back to college, lose £17 child benefit, co's she has small part time job, rent up £8 and £2.30 council tax, now this morning another letter, start of sept, another £20 off, therefore £81 down plus £10 extra to find for rent

Animal, I guess that shows the council throws the money at the wrong people??? It's the same on a council estate 5/10mins drive from here.

it's the same old story Animal.............if you haven't just got off a boat/plane/train and claiming asylum then you get nothing or have to fight tooth and nail for it.............I'm sick of the system too...........too many do gooders for my liking! Charity begins at home as far as I'm concerned!!!

what bugs me is, that our so called partners the EEC, let them through all their countries to get to us, I think at last rough count 500.000 iligal ones roaming about, but they are getting fed and housed

Helen, if we did that in another country though we'd get laughed at. We had to get visas for Australia even though it's part of the commenwealth which is just a bit of a money-maker to me, so why don't people have to have visas to visit this country???
