Times slipping away!
Posted May 20, 2006
Before I get to the point of this post, to put things in perspective, I'm sure what I feel at present can only be described as a mid-life crisis
Now, I'm no spring chicken, time is indeed taking it's toll folks, things that have happened to me in the past nine months have undoubtedly accelerated this process Anyway to cut a long story short, I need to find myself a woman, and not just for the obvious reasons before anyone jumps to that conclusion. In all honesty that is not a priority in my life anymore, is that strange coming from a male? What I need ideally is a friendly woman roughly the same age as myself, who isn't too shallow and can appreciate life for what it is.
Too much to ask? Maybe not, but my problem lies more within the minefield of bars, clubs and other establishments visited for the want of an evening They seem to be filled to capacity with younger women out looking for younger men and older men out looking to land younger women. Now there's the dilemma! what can I possibly do to rectify this Nothing, I believe is the answer- unless of course someone out there knows otherwise!. So, anyway, in conclusion because of this I feel I'm destined to be a lonely chappie for the rest of my sad existence.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

It'll be lonely this christmas

I can see it far enough, Christmas that is, and the farce that it is. It should be scrapped!
It comes around all too quickly for my liking.

Rip-off merchants
Posted Aug 30, 2005
Ah... I bet you wondered what nonsense I have up my sleeve for you today. Nothing very important as per usual, but just a moan in general
My girlfriends father has had a triple-bypass operation recently done in Glasgow's Western Infirmary. Things are not going to well as he has developed a blood infection which they can't seem to shift. Anyway hopefully things will pick up and he will get out soon.
Today while I was visiting the man asked if I'd buy him a bottle of Irn-bru. No problem says me and I made my way to the hospital shop.
Shock horror..what? £1.99 for a 2 litre bottle of pop you have to be kidding! In any shop, in fact the most expensive of shops, the most you would generally have to pay is in the region of say £1.30, Asda sell 4 bloody bottles for 3 quid for god sake(75p)...what a rip-off! I'm honestly disgusted by this, these people should be wearing masks as it's daylight robbery!
But needless to say, there were no shops nearby where I could have got it cheaper. There should be a law against these rogues who are taking advantage of the general public.

Paying for every mile you travel
Posted Jun 9, 2005
The government apparently have announced their plans to make the motorist pay tax on every mile they travel. Excuse me, but aren't we not doing that at this present moment in time?
IMHO It's another tax on a tax, thank god the air we breathe is still free..

Todays gripe
Posted Mar 17, 2005
Yes just another unstructured, incoherent mumbling from yours truly.
My complaint for today is the belief that Scottish people(Glaswegians in particular) have been stereotyped by the rest of the planet as being either criminals, thiefs or generally nasty people. It is also implied that we are mean.Wrong.The Scottish generosity was reflected only just recently with their contributions to the Tsunami disaster, but that aside I have come across people meaner than your average Scotsman on many an occasion
Criminals,~this may well be true of the minority, as is of any major city! All I know is that I'm not one of these people.
I'm Glaswegian, you may have noticed from my posts or personal space, and I'm just here to say that I am (scunnered) sick to the back teeth of people who have no real true foundation to infer or inflict implications such as this on an entire nation of people.
Discuss..?
