Welsh mountain pony huh? Bred for a strong constitution and to withstand the harsh winters on the mountains.....must find life pretty cushy over there then?

We have a shetland pony and you have to check how many fingers you have left when you hand feed her .....she has a definite vicious streak about her and bullies the other horses

Little Gamlyn is pretty tough...he's taken on the clydesdale a couple of times and has came out much worse for wear but doesn't stop from trying the next time...as to his life he's fat and loved...pretty much left to himself apart from the ocaasional hug from Sian...pretty cushy

Lucky little Gamlyn .....think I'll come back as a welsh mountain pony in my next life

It's almost time to go home and a night off tomorrow night so will hopefully catch up with you on Tuesday

How are you and the family?

We're all OK...Callum is on a school camp...with rural areas declaring drought condition it pours down...expecting a pruned child and a weekend of laundry

Had our clydesdale in his first competition a couple of weekends ago...nothing spectacular but he made a good start...placed in some of the pairs events with an older stallion...everyone was very impressed...Sian and the stallion came 3rd in the showjumping and wowed the crowd...tall girl in tight black jodphurs and polo shirt on a glossy black and white horse proud Dad

My 18 yr old daughter dances and until exams started taking over her life she used to do competitions and Panto at Xmas (do you have panto down under or even know what it is I wonder?) Like you I was a very proud Mum and had a tear in my eye many a time, hastily wiped away before she saw it of course

My son on the other hand is a rugby boy and next yr he's going on a tour with his rugby club to Italy.........I dread to think of the laundry that'll come back from that trip

So I know exactly how you feel

I know about Panto...Oh no you don't!

Sian's study load is starting to increase (this year and next year of high school before **hopefully** university) so we are trying to help her balance that with the horses but it's not easy...this is the rest of your life but don't stress it

Coming home from the heavy horse weekend, we went to the laundromat with books each and ate a fish supper there...4 machines at once

Sounds like a good way to spend an evening.........watching the smalls go round in a washing machine

Ahhhhhhhhh so you have heard of panto over there then

The last Panto that Lorna did was with Ian Smith, Harold from Neighbours..........what a claim to fame huh? Actually, he was a really nice man and was very good with the kids working in the panto and watching from the stalls! Took time to go front of the house after each performance and sign autographs unlike some that she's worked with in previous years

Oooooooooooooh yes and Madge came to watch one night too but didn't like her too much.........think she thought she was too good for us

I wouldn’t be too haughty…being famous for being on the world’s cheesiest soap

Panto’s not the institution it is with you there but we’d have maybe two a year here in Brisbane…not that I’ve been for a couple of years…can’t say we have the theatre you do although amateur theatre seems to be having a growth spurt at the moment…hence the quality of our soaps

My sister is an opera singer…I may have told you…she’s more well-known in Germany and Russia than here at home…here they insist only overseas performers get the lead roles so locals get very frustrated and quit or leave…Jacqui has tried to make it here but the politics stink

I beg to differ there.............Home and Away is by far the cheesiest soap to come out of your country .......the sets and acting surpass even the naffness of Neighbours

Panto is a very seasonal thing over here.......only found over the Xmas/New Year period! Great fun tho, especially when you see it thro rehearsals and twice a day every other day for the whole of the run, which is usually 3 weeks to a month

You hadn't told me about your sister but am sorry to here that she's had to leave to make a name for herself.........it's very sad really

well at least they benefit our export figures

Panto is a Xmas thing here too...lines up with our school hols...my kids were always mesmerised by it...didn't like to sit too close to the stage but I remember Sian squirming for 1/2 hour with a full bladder and telling me "No, Daddy" when I offered to take her to the toilet rather than miss any of the panto

Jacqui is home at the moment; she teachs and sings concerts rather than contract to the opera company...her last overseas stint was tough on her marriage

I can imagine...........they say 'absence makes the heart grow fonder' but you can have too much of an absence I think! You get used to being independant and then it's hard when the absent partner comes back again and messes up the routine!

I'm not sure that Lorna really enjoyed watching Panto.......she much preferred to be in it She was nine when she did her first one and she was one of Snow White's dwarves! Snow White and the Wicked Queen were played by two of the Nolan Sisters, Linda and Anne if I remember right

Finish early this morning so will be heading home in just over 10 mins.........not back in work tilMonday night again
