*so quietly ....*
You still awake? I kinda hope not, you need a break too, I'm sure. Just popping in to say "Hi", and let you know the sleep and dreams are doing just nicely, thank you. As expected
You are down to the last couple hours, I hope they are going quietly and then a safe trip home. To drema your own variety of hopefully undisturbed dremas.
Here or elsewhere, I'll "see" you later, my dear. Always with , s and s in-store for you, Lady H.

I was dozing when you sent your last post and by the time I read it you were long gone back to sleep
Had a breakdown in communication between me and the real estate agent today and ended up with people on the doorstep and me still in bed!!! Told the estate agent to keep them occupied while I got dressed and made the bed look tidy but was not amused, to say the least I knew nothing about a viewing at 4pm, only the one booked for 5.45 which they had apparently moved forward to 4.20, again without informing me!!! Will be having a few words on Monday about them getting their communication network working properly.
Still, the viewing at 4.20 was a 2nd visit and am hopeful that they might make me an offer.........they seemed to be really keen Will just have to wait and see and keep fingers etc crossed
How's your day been? Busy or have you had time to relax a little?
& a big

I'm not saying nothing about viewings, so as to NOT jinx anything.
We've been busy getting the last of the Christmas shopping done, and a bit of house-hold needs. With the grand-daughter (step) in Alberta, the daughter and her family in Newfoundland, all of my in-laws in New Brusnwick, and my own parents 5 hours away, .... everything needs to be wrapped, packed and sent by post no later than the end of November to ensure delivery. And then we raked 62,531,802 leaves together to mulch up tomorrow. (I counted them )
And don't worry about missing my note, or what-ever. I really was hoping you were resting. Meanwhile, with this being more of the festive week-end for you Brit's, and a Saturday, I expect the lines will be sporadically over-loaded, so I do NOT expect any hasty replies. ??? And that you'll find other chats and friends if I'm elsewhere with gift wrapping.

I haven't even started christmas shopping yet but then, when there's no money in the bank it's a trifle difficult Will just have to see what happens over the next couple of weeks money-wise and then maybe I can start looking around
I shall be popping in and out as time and work permits and will post as and when too ...........................................

Obviously, you've far more energy than I. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
We don't earn a great deal either, so we actually start looking for things that we know people will like in June or July. Not actively, but if we see something we can afford, ... the collection of stuff by November is amazing. We also have a large number of folks, in-laws of both sides, kid and grand-kids, etc.
So, btw, I did indeed dream of fireplaces, soft and full-bodied ... ummm ... errrr .... oh, yes, red-wine. Did you perhaps, as you drifted ?

Unfortunately the finanacial situation has been pretty dire all year so even had I seen anything suitable I wouldn't have been able to afford it Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks things should improve though
I was so tired by the time I got home this morning (stopped at local supermarket to look for fireworks for Dan on way home) that I didn't dream about anything except sleep I did however have a dozing dream about it whilst it was quiet in work.............helped me relax a bit
Have you had supper yet? Whats on the menu tonight?
The tiara suits you well ....
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Nov 6, 2004
Sorry for any delay, ... I was cahtting on the phone with Venus, about half an hour east of London.
We had a large lunch, so supper will be pretty light. Perhaps just a salad and a simple sandwich. We also always have fruit, cheese, and other bits in the fridge to nibble on. So sorry, nothing to about.
You are just going to have to find a good book about dream-management. There are techniques to assist you taking a waking thought into your dreams. I seem to be a natural at it, but anyone can "direct" their dream starts. s
& probably totally inappropriate s

Sometimes nibbles and picks are better than a full scale meal
Just been reading on the homepage about the train crash here this evening............first I've heard about it and it sounds terrible Express train hit a car on a level crossing and derailed!!! Quite a few dead and possibly 6 still trapped inside wreckage There's always a tragedy somewhere isn't there???
I've never really dreamt a lot except for a recurring nightmare I had as a child.........apart from that my sleep is mostly dreamless
& another ..................

Indeed, finger food and nibbles are always quite enjoyable, eh? And then followed by appropriate desserts, ... cream-filled being a favourite.
I'm sorry, I've not caught any news at all today. And several times a day the CBC news channel is a forwarding of the BBC news. So I'm sure we shall see lots. We had one locally a few years back, a de-railment with over 40 fatalities. And the cause was bored teens tossing spare ties across the rails. And the miserable sons-of-b*****s only got 6 months of juvenile detention. They were only 15 and "didn't know better".
Sorry to hear you've only had recurring dreams, and not good ones. I have enough of those, the "child-hood" I supposedly had. But luckily, I've seen and known so many nicer things since that dreams are often composites of the better bits, with some "imagination" thrown in....
So-very-gentle and long

you and your cream-filled deserts will have to get you some s filled with whipped cream
I'm sorry but at 15 you're old enough to know what you're doing and the difference between right and wrong!!! My son is 14 and he would know better than to throw anything onto a railway track! BTW - the story is on the bbc homepage, or do you get a different homepage over there???
I think my imagination goes to sleep when I do, but it works very well indeed when I'm awake

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Nov 7, 2004
My dear, you've exactly the right idea about desserts. You DO know me, don't you?
Yes, I imagine if I look at the BBC front pages, I'd find much to sadden me, but as my day nears and end ... And there's nought I can do for anyone surviving it, so I think I'll wait for the morning news.
I don't know what your laws are like, but here they coddle and pamper anyone under 17, their names cannot even be given in the press. So if 20 years later they commit something worse, their earlier record is still a "youth-offender" file and out of bounds of the courts. ing everything is set up to protect the dastardly and be-damned with the vitims .....
Yes, it is a very touchy subject with me. So perhaps back to imaginations, desserts, and fire-places .... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
So, how is the night's calls going? Very manic or manageable for the crew you have at hand? And the dinner delight tonight is ?????
Gentle- and rather time consuming
The tiara suits you well ....
tsarina Posted Nov 7, 2004
Our laws are pretty much the same as yours it would seem......except that over 16 they can be named and shamed at the courts discretion I think! It's also a very touchy subject with me too. Just recently a drunk driver who knocked down and killed a girl on Christmas night last year and seriously injured her b/f, had his sentence reduced and will be out of gaol in 2 years with good behaviour He didn't even get charged with manslaughter, just causing death by dangerous driving which carried a maximum sentence of 8 years when he was tried! It's since been changed to 15 years I think but don't quote me on that one
The night is relatively calm so far and not so very busy........the worst period is over now so I expect it to quieten down as the night wears on Dinner tonight is going to be something from the vending machine in the canteen, maybe a sandwich or a salad, I haven't decided yet! Am cutting back on take-aways etc cos they're not doing anything to diminish my curves
& a lingering back
The tiara suits you well ....
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Nov 7, 2004
Awwww, but I happen to like curves. So long as the wearer is generally comfortable within them.
So the tough question, what is really the difference between a salad and the sandwich from the vending machine? The expiration dates? Or the amount of cello-wrap trying to keep them "fresh"?
I really don't want to get into the laws. We've a man who was sentenced to hang in 1959, aged 14, who was later paroled and still trying to clear his name. And there have been mountains of evidence that he was rail-roaded to the gallows. And this week our national justice minister referred it to a court of appeal. So, how do you define justice?
Anyway, anything interesting happening in your world or the kids? My grand-girl is doing very poorly in her new home. Is picked on by her peers and cousins for being decent, and just wants Daddy. But the courts of course said a Mommy is always better .....
The tiara suits you well ....
tsarina Posted Nov 7, 2004
The only difference is what I'll feel like eating when I go on my lunch break
Nothing very interesting happening to either me or the kids Just the ongoing saga of the house sale for me and nothing very exciting for the kids except that Dan went to a chocolate factory on a school trip on Thursday. I'm afraid everyday life goes on much the same as it always does
to hear your granddaughter is having a hard time but am sure she'll settle down soon and make new friends It always takes a while to settle down in a new area! Yes, I'm afraid the courts do tend to rule in favour of the mum and it's not always the right decision Is she allowed to see her Daddy at all?
The tiara suits you well ....
Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Nov 7, 2004
Seeing Daddy is a bit hard to do, ... there's now about 3,800 miles between them. She has the phone, and then only when the "aunt" giving Mommy a home allows it. And the hell of it is the Mommy never has really wanted the girl at all. She is just a good black-mail tool. *sigh* As is a younger brother by first-cousin-to-my-son-in-law. Oh the relations get very confusing. Especially if you try to measure Rebecca's younger brother who is also her own 2nd cousin to our grand-boys ....
And yeah, our lives aren't much of a hoot either. Work, house and yard works and sleep. And chats with very good friends here and there. I spent nearly an hour on the phone tonight with Venus ... No reason, she's just a fun lady to chat with on-line or the phone. And sooooo much older than me too. Atleast 10 whole months.
and then
The tiara suits you well ....
tsarina Posted Nov 7, 2004
yes..........ok I gave up on that one before I'd even finished reading it Am afraid family relations confuse me at the best of times anyway
I totally disagree with kids being used as pawns between warring parents Whatever the diference me and my ex have had, I have NEVER allowed the children to be used as a weapon and I always try to speak well of their Dad whenever possible! Sometimes when he's made me particularly mad it is difficult though
I've never spoken to Venus but if you like her then I'm sure she's ok Glad to hear you had a nice chat!
& another for luck

She played the Telegram game for quite some time. But when the voting became a consensus or group vote thingy, she kinda faded. With the digi-box, I guess following threads and writing everyones answers were too much of a bother. I just kinda met her in other threads in April or May and we hit it off well. We're both similarly certifiable, I guess.
As to pawns and vicious parents, I always tried to down-play and speak civil of my ex when-ever talking to my daughter. Until she hit about 18 and wanted to know the whole story. Because her Mom's recollections were so inconsistent, she knew most of it had to be lies. So as always with Mavis, I told the truth straight up. Her and I have always been straight with each other. The only time she was shy about anything was her "first" time, and that took 2 days before she talked. And then asked all kinds of questions that her Mom should've explained YEARS earlier. *sigh*
BTW, I've not sent any e-mails in awhile, ... is yours working fully well yet? And of course, you are always welcome to drop a thought or two if your dinner breaks have that few free minutes ....
and lonnnnnnnnnnng-

And now, I must say g'night. Waking at 3:30 and not able to sleep after that, the leaf-raking and eaves/gutter cleanings and everything else out-doors has made me very .
I'll try to pop around later, if I wake, my dear. And whether I do or not, I do hope you find time for some rest as well. Until another time, lovely Lady H, a very warm embrace and soft kiss g'night.

Peek-a-boo.
Just a few minutes while a kink in the back works out. So, is the night quiet for you still? Getting a bit of rest? As you say, if not during the remains of this shift, the next one.
Safe to home, and fast to sleep, dear girl.
