I'm okay, the day was long trying to figure how I will adapt to the new work zone. From a huge room, 3 work-benches, a PC cart, a filing cabinet and a desk, I now have one bench. So a number of personal items that are useful at work will have to come home again. Oh well, such is life.
The bigger and more important query, how are you? I wondered and worried about you through much of the night (only 3 wakings...) and on and off through the day. How is the eye? Your energy? Your morale as much as anything?
I know you are always quite busy the first few hours, but if things slow, ... please do call? Even if only briefly.

I'm sooooooooooo just not got time to do anything tonight
Doesn't look as if we'll have much time to chat
I was feeling reasonably good when I got into work tonight but am flagging a bit now and the eyes are still very sore...........more like burning sensation! Just feel very tired and drained energy-wise........think it's probably lack of sleep and stress plus this is the last night of my 6 night stint and am always tired by this stage Hard to be upbeat and positive when you're feeling tired and there's so much cr*p going on right now with the house and financial matters
I'm off for a couple of days after tonight so will try and recharge the batteries as much as I can
Hopefully I'll find time to get onto MSN at some stage over the w/e and we can have a more leisurely chat then
Lots of 's and
's to take to slumber with you

Dear girlie, don't apologize for a busy night. That's beyond your control. As is exhaustion and frustrations over house and finances. You've a full life away from these lines and I know it.
If you need the night to focus on your job and let the mind drift, I've no problems with that at all. I'll certainly not push for chatter, sweet lady. If you find time later on other wires, that's great. If not, then rest and balance yourself as best you can, and we'll meet up another night, ... here.
Just take care of YOU, that's the only thing I do ask of you. Okay?
Caring, and offering what best I can over these wires, dear friend.

I don't understand why it's been so busy this evening Usually starting to tail off by this time but it's still really busy........I suppose in the weeks running up to Xmas we're going to be a lot busier!
Please don't think I don't want to chat though or that I'm avoiding you cos it's nothing like that at all, just busy and somewhat weary
Am guessing you'll be heading for your bed soon so I'll say g'night and sweet dreams

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Oct 28, 2004
I'll probably run along to bed soon. Several wakeys last night and finally stayed up at 4:30. So the day IS getting old.
And of course I don't think you're ignoring me, . You've been short handed all week, so even on a normal night, you'll be swamped. Do what brings the food home, catch a breather in-between, and don't worry about me and hootoo. Perhaps even try to find a few
if things quiet. Because I don't imagine a lot of that happens when Madame Chauffeur gets home to the vacationers.
As per usual, when I wake, I'll check in here and the e-mail. And I won't be at all surprised to see your pretty eyes closed. ?
G'night dear, you can be sure I'll dream... and no doubt quite vividly. Until another time,

Hi, friend. Just a quick note to welcome you back to the grind of work. I've a lot of Hallowe'en stuff outside to dismantle first. And then I may be back to chat a bit later.
I'll advise you up front that I have been rather down for nearly a week. And still not quite rebounded. Even a brief journal entry only helped for a limited time. So my chatter tonight may be rather 'bleah'. So apologies in advance.

look forward to later
Don't worry - we'll make a good pair cos I'm not a very happy bunny at them moment either! Don't know if it's the winter blues or just circumstances stressing me out but I don't feel very upbeat
We'll have to have a &
later and see if we can make each other feel better

I do know that you've the house sales worries, which naturally go hand in hand with general "how the heck do I pay this" stuff. I've also the latter.
In the recent past, I seem to have lost a couple of friends. The next nearest thing to a sister/friend I could ask for and her daughter who is so very like a daughter to me as well. Various concerns and circumstances they had, and like a true arse, I opened my mouth very poorly. Enough that I've been asked to not call. So I've the foot-in-mouth disease, the regrets from that, and the actual loss of them to absorb. Not an easy combination.
But enough of my mistakes and consequences. How have your days off of work been? I noted you were about for awhile yesterday or earlier, so must have missed you. And how are the eyes for dry and burning?

I'm so sorry to hear that you've been 'cut off' from 2 very dear friends I think I know who you're referring too and I can't believe you could say anything that would cause such grave offence
and even if something was said and taken the wrong way, then surely they know you well enough to know that it wouldn't have been said to cause offence???
My days off have been pretty quiet.........went out on Friday night and shared a bottle of wine and some gossip with a friend..........the rest of the w/e was spent running around after my daughter and making the free taxi service available Dan was away on a golfing w/e with his father so peace reigned for about 48 hours
It was good to have him back on Sunday evening tho.........I missed the little pain in the ass

What's done is indeed done. Another for the history books ....
So, was it a good wine? And the gossip even better? I am glad to hear that you get out, my dear, even if for but a few hours. Any respite from the working nights, the drugged-out feeling of sleepless day, and all the concerns that haunt in between.
In your part of the world (mentioning hauntings ...) are there any little rats in costume come begging for goodies? We can get between 40 and 120 or so. Last night was windy and drizzly, so the total count was only 87. So we've a good stock of mini candy bars and potato 'crisps' (as Brits seem to call them). Enough to snack on until nearly Christmas.

All the same.............it's still a shame
The wine was excellent and as for the gossip............
We don't really have much 'trick or treating' over here and even if we did, I live much too far away from civilisation for anyone to come knocking at my door so I'm spared having to buy in loads of sweets and 'crisps' Aren't I mean and

Yes, I've heard the Hallowe'en thing isn't as big on your side of the pond as over here. I'm not sure who is luckier. It really is sweet to see some of the 4 - 10 year olds. But wandering about waiting for a door-bell or whatever over several hours does get tiresome.
BTW, did you find a message on your phone system? I tried to call, but never seemed to be anyone answering .....

tsarina Posted Nov 2, 2004
Yes I can imagine that after a while it would get a bit irritating Still, it's only once a year and is good fun for the kids.......
We tend to celebrate Bonfire Night more over here.......which commemorates when Guy Fawkes tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament during the reign of King Charles the 1st sometime in the 17th century........we build large bonfires and have firework displays with baked potatoes, home made soup, candy floss, hot dogs or whatever people make to eat basically All this takes place on Nov 5th or the nearest Saturday night to it, which will be the 6th this year
I did get an answerphone message a few days ago and I did mention it to you on msn I think??? Haven't had anything since tho!
OUCH!!!! I aint as young as I used to be and I easy so bit more gentle please

I've heard of the Fire Works night. That same daughter mentioned earlier was assaulted last year on that date, so I am double aware.....
I don't recall a mention on MSN, but then the brief talk we had was pretty groggy at both ends. And then you just vanished .... I assumed you lost your connection and were too tired to re-establish.
Yeah, Hallowe'en is for the tikes, and we enjoy it as much for them as anything. I certainly don't mind the one night. Even if I'm in the dumps and trying to shed a head-cold. We dressed (me as face-less Death, m'lady as the Bride of Frankenstein)
Awwww, did I cause boo-boo's? Need to make all better, little girl?
The tiara suits you well ....
tsarina Posted Nov 2, 2004
Yes I do remember something being mentioned about an assault but not when it was..........not a good time of year for either of them then?
I did lose connection and then pc wouldn't let me log back in to msn so I gave up in the end
Are you STILL trying to get rid of that cold??? Seems like it's been lingering on for weeks now Think you need some extra vitamins or a good tonic to build you up again
BTW.............to answer your earlier question..........my eyes are still dry and burning but then I only had 5 hours sleep last night and was up at 7am this morning to do the school/college run and have been busy all day so not had time to rest before coming to work...........so am very very tired now Thankfully it seems to be fairly quiet so am hoping to be able to relax and close my eyes later on

A cold just seems to let go, when some arse comes to work with bronchitis. My work or the missus. So it just keeps getting resurrected. I DO need a time away, perhaps in Wales? But the gawd-of-the-lottery doesn't like me either, so I guess that won't happen soon.
I've not slept more than an hour or two at a time for the past week, especially this past several days. So I'm not likely to be around much longer either. So if you do find a quiet spell, or an un-used closet to hide in, ... please do catch some rest? We've many days or nights to natter away, one more quiet one certainly is no bother.
Who knows, you may have a brief dream to relay during lunch break.

tsarina Posted Nov 2, 2004
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm a holiday from work would be wonderful but, like you, the lottery isn't smiling on me either, otherwise I would be booking a break in Canada right now
A week in Wales at the moment wouldn't do much to aleviate you7r cold symptoms........it's dull, wet, miserable and windy I lit the fire in the sitting room last night just to cheer myself and the room up a bit.........it was lovely watching the flames lapping round the logs and then catching the coal...........and the warmth was wonderful
Not so wonderful was the cleaning out this morning
If you're tired then please od get to bed and try and sleep the night thro..............if not then you know I'l be here should you wish to chat a while!

Fires are a wonderful thing, aren't they? I can sit there mesmerized for hours. And because of it, I don't mind the clean-up. Being all wood, (no coal or chemicals) it cleans up fairly easy.
Actually, I hadn't expected to see much outdoors, if I were to abscond to Wales.
And I've another half hour or more in me, so don't think you'll be rid of me quite yet. You can also be sure I'll probably pop in once or twice through the night, just to make sure you are being good. And not letting Sheryl lead you astray. (Or is that vice-versa?
)

I hadn't bothered with the fire since separation and divorce over 2 yrs ago now........but the central heating has got gremlins and it was cold last night so it was light the fire or head for bed really early.........the fire won I burn a mixture of wood and coal as I find it last a bit longer than just wood and I dont have a plentiful supply, despite living next to a forestry
I need a strong man to go gathering and chopping for me I think
The hunter/gatherer
I haven't seen Sheryl tonight........unusual for her not to be about? So, you can rest assured that I won't be being led astray or even doing the leading
Will look in from time to time and see if you've left any messages thro the night but I will be trying to rest the weary eyes if I can!

EVERYone knows that all Canucks are tall, strapping French-speaking lumberjacks. So all you have to do is locate a willing one, ...
I've had a couple small chats as the evening has gone along, ... one that spawned from my journal entry. Hmmmm.....
Anyway, dear lady, I think I'm away to try for a few winks of sleep now. Please try to do the same as best those nasty phones will allow, eh?
And for certain, I will check mails and here should the eyes pop open. Or anything else 'pop' Until then, always the warmest of
s and many caring

s, lovely Lady H.
G'night.
