Colleen's youngest is coming in from USA for her birthday. We've never met and from what I can gather I'm in for a third degree. Her daughter's told him all about me and he's interested in seeing what I'm like.

New car is handling well, very pleased with it. Although it is small, no room in the back.

Hope everything goes well for your wedding and the house sale. Trying to organise to get to the meet on 10th, but it may be tight. Will you be there?

Well repair man still hasn't returned. I wonder if he's been sucked into some black hole somewhere. Or perhaps the canteen.

Don't know anything about a meet sorry and if it's 10th July then no chance - am away that w/e anyway!

Sorry you didn't know anything about the meet. I found out about it by accident myself. It is in Hyde Park at the bandstand on 10th July, then Pub Shakespeare's Head in Holborn in evening. Can't make evening, but will try for Hyde Park, if I can find bandstand (?)

You know what the youngest can be like, wanting to protect his mother
Her duaghter & I get on fairly well.

Sorry I haven't been in touch for a while but things have been a bit hectic lately what with selling house and eldest daughters wedding!!!

Hope everything is ok with you and your family visit went ok? Hope you didn't get the grilling you were expecting!

Yup. got a bit busy there myself. Two missing programmes. One is still missing. The first one the girl was just leaving the building when she suddenly realised she still had it in her hand. Got to me with four minutes to spare The second is not due until 10:00. I'll leave that with the day..
Pretty tired. Going to a wedding this weekend in Hastings. Driving down Frday.
Coll's got her car back repaired. Still hates me for chuckling. She assured me she's always right and I'm always wrong.

Oh right, I thought I'd told the story. She was in the car park at safeways. Instead of reverse she went into first and struck a pole. She tried to put it back, but it was too heavy. The manager came trotting up and said she would have to pay for the pole. She had a slight dent into her car. She was very upset, I laughed and she got angry, saying she would never forgive me. I explained that the shop shouldn't charge her as they are covered by insurance for that sort of thing. I'm still uncertain as to whether or not she's forgiven me. She has always said she is always right and I'm always wrong.

Glad you enjoyed your wedding. Coll's daughter married a Naval commander, full uniform wedding the lot. Then divroced him three years later.

Kathryn and Rob have already been together for 2 yrs before they got married and it's Rob's 3rd marriage so am keeping my fingers crossed for them but they seem blissfully happy together

I can imagine she would be upset, specially with the manager coming out and confronting her Bad enough that she'd hit it in the first place! I agree she shouldn't have to pay tho! Am sure you'll be forgiven but can understand why you laughed........think I would've done too

Not long now and time to go home - 7.30am fininsh today

I have told her if they write to her tolet me know and I'll take it further. I think he was a bit heavy handed. I couldn't help it. When she told me the story I laugh and she called me a little sh*t. I just foun d it funny that she'd go into one gear instead of the other.

I don't think he was shouting at her, but knowing her she was most likely shouting at him.

She would be a red-headed Irish woman would she? She sounds as if she has a bit of a temper?

By 8 I'm hoping to be home with the kettle on and a couple of slices of bread in the toaster Tea and toast in bed before getting a couple of hours sleep!

After tonight I'm off til next Friday
