h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hi. never really written a journal people might accually read before. I am a Junior in High School in Western Colorado. I am involved in Band (my life during the marching band season, this is where all my friends are from) and the Knowledge Bowl team (not important to me at all (maybe because I don't do well)). I have worked this past summer at a restaurant (one step above fast food (but a very important step)). I am planning on staying with this job through the school year working on weekends but I am not going to stay there next summer. I don't like how the owners run the buisness (it would be better if they didn't and left the managers in charge). I spend most of my free time surfing the internet and playing Star Trek: The Next Generation: Birth Of The Federation on the zone. I believe that is enough background information. I will write another journal entry when I feel like it.

That's what I am doing, except I don't have anyone here at school to talk to. That is why I am trying to rely on people at other schools to talk to. What grade are you people in?? I got to go get back to work (I am an aide, so I get time to get on computers, but I also have to do work).

And about Jo well it's just her character thing and she's running round finding people called Ford and telling them that she loves them. Don't woory, she's mad. Then again so am I...

grade 8 would be what age there?? I am in 11th grade and am 16 years old. Isn't everyone a little crazy (or as you say, mad...we use mad to mean crazy and angry -- depending on the context although angry is used much more).

Over here mad seems to mean more along the lines of scatty, a bit clueless or just completly daft, but hten, I'm 25 so what do I know.

Are you saying that you are twelve years old or in year twelve, it much much easier to understand in my day.

They are saying they are 12 years old and in grade 8 (similer to 7th grade in the states because we don't count kindergarten when counting the numbers). I remember that grade, it kinda sucked. accually all of middle school sucked. High school kinda sucks, but not quite as badly. I can't wait until college.
