I guess that's more to prevent the III world war because they can't agree on whose face to put there.

I think they have missed a very good money making idea. There could be an international lottery with people buying chances to have their own face put on the Euro note. This could be an annual event! They could do away with taxation if it were popular enough!

Awww, but it's only the British who are eccentric enough that they'd pay for that - and they have their Queen.

Yes, she would have to pay just like the rest of us. I expect she may be relieved to not have to look at herself on the money as her portrait depicts someone getting older and older every time they bring out a new note.

I showed the trick to my sons, and they found it funny, but told me that my English friends had weird ideas.

Bright sons!
I think this little trick may go round the world. I initially read it in a book on origami, as a sort of amusing aside.

...but I'm proud of having weird ideas!
More chocolate on your kippers, vicar?

You'll be fine Vicar. Just speak clearly into the keyboard. You're talking to someone called B'el. B'el this is Conrad V O'Lution. Con to his friends.
Rev. O'Lution: *Adjusts horn rimmed glasses and whistles slightly through horsey teeth.* How do you do Bell? It's hard to see you through the cracks between the letters but Vesty here tells me you're a warm human being with a fondness for London.

Hi Bel. I'm fine. I've not long started a new job (same employer) and it's not one I particularly wanted but it should be secure enough in the current economic climate.
I see you've been parting with your brood recently. Are they settling in?
I joined facebook recently and I've had a huge influx of relatives including a niece whom I haven't been in contact with for about 16 years. It was great.

It's good to have a safe job, I hope it's not too bad/boring/stressful what you're doing now.
I have a fb account, but my family is very small, so I'm in touch with them in RL.
There are a few h2g2 groups on fb.

I'm not doing so well on this. (Blocked at work). I'll have another go at home.
Just made contact with someone I hold in great esteem in America and they've agreed to ahve me as a friend. They only have a few friends as well so I'm delighted.
