I don't know 'We are the Champions' by the Filmscore Orchestra, but I do have a weird instrumental cover version somewhere (its name escapes me because it was not something I listened to more than once!)

I should have guessed We Will Rock You soundtrack though - good one smiley - ok

I see you'll be listening to Wild Life and your Wings albums when you next get chance smiley - ok

Today if I get a chance I'll see if I can hear:

smiley - musicalnote'Welcome to the Neighbourhood' – Meat Loaf
smiley - musicalnote'Whatever Gets You Through the Day' - smiley - lighthouse Family
smiley - musicalnote'(What's the Story) Morning Glory' – Oasis
smiley - musicalnote'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' – [Various]

The Filmscore Orchestra album wasn't particularly good, or like an orchestra. I wonder if it was just one person with a keyboard?

Ah, the Filmscore Orchestra one sounds very like the album I have/had - that was one person with two keyboards that weren't quite in tune with each other smiley - laugh A weird selection of tunes, too - it was a double album with one disc of Queen and one disc of Tina Turner smiley - rofl

Let's try:

Wide Prairie - Linda McCartney
Working Classical - Paul McCartney
Wonsaponatime - John Lennon
Yesterday and Today - The Beatles
You Really Got Me - The Kinks

Today at nammettime I went shopping and bought from the charity shop the 'Trainspotting' soundtrack album - without stealing itsmiley - thief

Curiously, on the Special Shelf this week they had a copy of the soundtrack to the game 'Batman: Arkham Asylum'.
(The BHF shop had a new display cabinet/shelf installed last month and for the first 4 or 5 weeks everything I saw on this one particular shelf was something I wanted to buy, but as that's not a game I've ever played I've come to the conclusion that it was beginner's luck on the shelf's part and it isn't a smiley - magic shelf personally tailored to my interests after all.)

Well done on getting a new CD, even though it wasn't from the Special Shelf smiley - ok Am I right in presuming you have seen the film Trainspotting?

Fascinating that there exists a computer game soundtrack CD - just shows the quality of the production, that it is worthy of different media. I sort of have a computer game soundtrack album, but only because the Rise of the Robots beat-em-up game made use of Brian May's Back to the Light album smiley - laugh

Today I am probably listening to:
smiley - musicalnote'Wings at the Speed of Sound' - Wings
smiley - musicalnote'Wings Greatest' - Wings
smiley - musicalnote'Wings Over America' - Wings
smiley - musicalnote'Wingspan: Hits and History' – Paul McCartney (and some Wings)

(I'm ignoring the albums titled 'Winter' for now)

And yes, I've seen 'Trainspotting', but not for about 20? years – when did it come out? (Ah, 1996). My mate Andy who lived round the corner loved 'Trainspotting' and had the soundtrack which he played constantly both at home and in his car, so I've lots of memories of hearing it in the background. Whenever I went to his house to play PC game 'Worms' he would name his team after the characters in the film, so I now associate the film with Worms calling on an airstrike and shouting 'Stupid!' in high-pitched voices.
