My Modified "Nick"

I've been a member of h2g2 since 2 weeks after its' start-up. I have been known as Fairly Strange since then. The only time I have added anything to my "Nick" was while I served as an ACE.
Now I find it necessary to modify it. It hurts.....it degrades my "character".....but seems it must be done.
There are no alternatives.
Hopefully there will be those who see it and instantly know I'm not normally a "Rabble Rouser". Maybe they will come here....understand my point...and find an idea that is acceptable to The Towers and the BBC.
I hope so.....this "Community" is already as divided as they come. It needs unification. I hate that....everything was fine back in Janurary.
Zachsmind....if you ever enter here.....just want to let you know.

Spamming Revisited

Look folks.....I know the rule.....and I understand it to a degree.
Anyone who remembers the "YK-47" invasion can see where the rule came from.
The rule needs refined.
Does it hurt any conversation to have a quick URL stuck in it? If you're not interested....skip over it and go to the next discussion entry. No harm done!
If you might be a bit interested....how else was the Researcher supposed to reach you?
If you can't spam that....then the "Blessed BBC" needs to set up another route!
Any opinions?

Now We Can't "Spam"?

GGGEESSHHH!!!!
Just came from a Forum where other Researchers were "crawling" all over this poor soul for "spamming" Pages! I couldn't believe what I was seeing!
How else do you get a message out in H2G2? They told him to attatch his "cause" to his name....RIGHT! Whats' that gonna' do, pull in the 20 or 30 folks he talks to on a regular basis?
The Forum and the Firkin....Joannas' Donut Stall, The Beach.....where would they have been without "spam"?
Veggies' "Fun Run"....H**L, the "H2G2 Post" would not exist without "spam"!!!!!!
Whats' next........no more "Topic Drift"?......if so, I'm taking my ball and going home! There'd be no more fun here!

Auto Work Continues

Just got the '87 Fifth Avenue up and running. Completely rebuilt engine. Now I can shut down Monsys' '68 Dart.
It needs new heads.....and will be treated to a 4 barrel intake upgrade.(Ups the horsepower from 275 to about 325.
) New interior and exterior paint to follow.
'65 Valiant is in the shop for new interior....."Baby blue" matallic paint is waiting on the shelf for it.
'71 Sweptline truck is still "under primer"(a southern tradition!
)....headers are in the garage and the carpets' behind the seats!LOL
I'll be finished with them someday.....I just hope its' not too soon!
