Somebody slap me.
Posted Aug 20, 1999
After doing virtually nothing all week, I've now agreed to do overtime tomorrow. Stay calm, don't panic, think of the money...

Would you look at that? A proper guide entry, ladies and gentlemen, not just a minor role in the entry on English Slang, but a proper, full-size acceptance for my Public Information Films article, with a specially drawn picture and everything! *dies happy*

Anakin In The UK
Posted Aug 20, 1999
With my finger firmly on the pulse of the nation, as always, I am now the last person in Britain to have seen "The Phantom Menace". Yes, very entertaining, I'm sure, but I found it difficult to take seriously after I realised just how much Yoda's voice sounds like Grover from Sesame Street. Anyway, looking forward to Episode Two - The Phantom Flan Flinger (let's see how many heads *that* reference goes over).

Man with irritating mobile phone: a further update
Posted Aug 13, 1999
Man With Irritating Mobile Phone is leaving! Oh dear, how sad. Still, he has brought in a big bag of cakes and placed it on his old desk (next to the toilet roll), so if anyone wants a cake, feel free to come round and help yourself.
Oh no, how silly of me, you don't know who he is or where he works. Never mind, I'll eat it for you.
