Got double gin number 2 and thought about getting some of the bits and pieces I'm taking down to Old Smokey this weekend.

Got in from scoring a cricket match.
Hoped EV doesn't mind me unlurking and joining in (thought I might as well given that I've been subscribed for a while, enjoying the chuckling)

I fell asleep on the bus and did one of those "Am I, aren't I?" head nodding routines...

Woke up at 6.30 to the cacophony of burglar alarms. Power cut
Dragged myself into work just after 7 in the mum-mobile since my car goes in to be fixed today. Feel grotty and irritable because it's too hot already and I've not had my caffeine fix yet. Don't know whether to not bother and be evil all day or make myself hotter and become vaguely human again.

Cold can of Cola will get you the caffeine while still keeping you cool, my friend.
Decided to go to bed early last night, so turned the tv of at 11PM and headed for bed. Sat down in front of the computer on the way to check some forums and ended up getting to bed at 12:25AM (almost an hour earlier than most other nights this week).
Still didn't help as I woke up at 7:15 and had to rush to get into work on time.
Feeling very tired and don't feel like doing anything today.

My lumpy ear saga continued mysteriously
I just mentioned that I had thes ball bearing like thing in the middle of my earlobe, then the person who sits next to me said she has one too. She felt her left ear, the same as where mine is and I asked when she noticed it, she said two days ago, the same time as me
We think it only occurs in bright people...

I just made a joke based on a mispelling on Wolfie's part and then had to explain it because he didn't get it...

Maybe you were both abducted by aliens and they implanted tracking chips in your ears.. Kind of like what you do with dogs.

Now he thinks I was having a go at him for making a typo... it was a joke goddamit! And he keeps telling *us* to lighten up!

That's the man down to a 'T', I reckon.
I get the earlump thing from time to time... an inexplicable lump in the middle of the lobe, no?

Number Six Posted Jul 14, 2005
I was about to not recommend that! The results can be spectacular, although reasonably disgusting...
I think they're technically called Blind Boils. Charming name, innit?

Yeah, it's like right in the middle of my earlobe, not close to the edges of hte skin or anything So the only way I could possibly squeeze it woulb be to slice part of my ear open. But as I've got a white top on, I don't think I'll be doing that....

Trust me, if you squeeze hard enough the stuff inside will eventually break through the skin and find its way out. Then of course you'll have a small scar rather than the lump - I'm not sure which would be quicker to vanish though. I can never stop myself being troubled by having the thing and end up constantly fiddling with it and usually end up bursting it just to get shot of it...
