But I already have a fantastic stuffed monkey at my office. I'm not sure my monkey-food budget would cover a second one.

and they might not like each other either...
maybe you would prefer a Wapiti, or perhaps a tapir? Gnu?

People often accuse me of being long winded. Often these are the same individuals who accuse others of not saying enough. Is it possible the cyber culture is developing a set of unspoken limitations upon the length of a given post? That any post sent to the Web must be no less than three lines but no more than one pagedown?
At what point is one longwinded? Too brief? Is it not better to say something rather than nothing at all?
Yoda says "ask later."

longwinded is a measure of speech that is relative to content. Your posts seem to contain a lot of info but not all of it is extremely necessary (ie catering to those who need to have all the blanks filled in). I think that most of the people you are posting to are at least onto it enough to know to ask questions if there's something they need to know, so maybe you could leave details out sometimes.
But I also think you should just say what you've got to say and if anyone gives you grief about it tell them to go f**k a gnu!!
(ie. only follow this advice if YOU are worried about it.)

Don't you just hate that?
I never do.
At least, I don't think I do.
Well, maybe I do, sometimes.

This probably stems from having a public education, where tests included essay questions and you're supposed to say everything you know about it and if you don't ramble and say everything you're gonna get counted off because the teacher's lookin' for keywords and if you don't say those keywords she'll mark ya no matter how much you type in so just to be on the safe side writing the entire encyclopedia helps an awful lot.
Granted, she COULDA just turned the one essay question into three or four fill in the blanks, but that's America for ya.

Public...edu-what? I went to public school, but I didn't get any of that. I spent most of my time writing notes and messing with calculators. Did I miss anything?
