Mmmm....hangover!

So I haven't left yet...what of it?!? Sorry...I'm a bit surly right now. 
Anyhoo, I'm leaving tomorrow for an extensive review of the *cough* LOVELY middle US, starting in Kansas where I get to spend lots of quality time with my dad. Then hang a left, down to Oklahoma to see the rest of my family. Then maybe off to California...depending on the funds and time. If California, then Vegas (it's inevitable, of course.), then re-tracing my steps 'till I get back home.
So! There it is - wish me fun, and I'll see you all when I get back.

Can I just say...and forgive me if this sounds too terribly corny...that what I saw of the New Year's festivities going on around the world tonight had to be, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful displays of human achievement I've ever seen? Every nation around the globe seemed to meld into one big happy family of people, all the while retaining their own independant culture and tradition.
Or maybe I just need some more champagne....champagne anyone?

There really was no "Part One", per se, but who the heck cares?!? Indeed. I'm hoping a better job offer is included with this lucky streak, but should I be picky?
