Can I just say...and forgive me if this sounds too terribly corny...that what I saw of the New Year's festivities going on around the world tonight had to be, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful displays of human achievement I've ever seen? Every nation around the globe seemed to meld into one big happy family of people, all the while retaining their own independant culture and tradition.
Or maybe I just need some more champagne....champagne anyone?
