smiley - bigeyes oh! is that standard preparation for a long winter? hibernating maybe? actually it sounds like an idea.. cook a LOT for a few days, freeze it and have ready made meals later on .. I'll have to think of that smiley - smiley

smiley - biggrin the ceremonial dresses are still reasonably in good shape. Some stains, most from food. smiley - biggrin

It's twice or thrice a year that we do one of these cooking sprees. Partly, it's fun (weird, eh?) but mostly it's because it does work so well, ... To stock up ...

So the hatchlings are okay, their pretty clothes almost are, ... Did all the grand-parents survive as well? smiley - winkeye

smiley - rofl so it's not for hibernating?

smiley - whistle the grandparents are .. as exhausted as the hatchlings of course. Both should be equally tired after a good visit smiley - evilgrin

Nawww, the hibernating would need a substantial lottery winning. To be able to retire, and know the expenses are met as I smiley - zzz.

Just curious a bit, ... what is the age range of the grand-parents? My own were already quite old when I was a child. One set with no humour, the others over-flowing with the stuff. None had the energy or health to be friends with any grand-kids. I am just sooooo pleased to be young and limber enough to have a cuddle, a tumble, even a good race in the local park, with my grands.

Of course, they ALWAYS win such races. Even if it means that "old Poppy" trips over his own feet, and tumbles in the grass. smiley - rofl

smiley - biggrin there's four all together, all around 60 give or take two years smiley - biggrin all very serious people, in suits with ties!

smiley - cool and on all fours when there's something important to be done, like driving the toy cars over the lines in the carpet, or driving the cows into the stable of the toy farm smiley - whistle
smiley - laugh only two of then will race smiley - laugh

One set would have been near 60 when I was young, the others a bit older. So it explained a lot. By my nature, and some memory, the ability to keep those cars, trucks and cows properly in-line is a VERY important trait. I am very pleased to be a good help with such important business.

Also, my senior generations were all farmers. So suit and tie was reserved for Sunday morning and church. Maybe that's one reason that I am still astounded to find 3 suits, and perhaps a dozen neck-ties, in my closet.

And yet, ... not one Lady 'Saurus to be found in that closet !!! smiley - sadface

smiley - rofl very important for young to have life organised. Simple and straight, yes. Grandparents know that!
All around here the "natives" are all farmers. indeed there's sunday's suit (also for weddings and funerals)
Farms even have the "good room": the living room only to be used for important visitors and on Sundays. The rest of the week life goes on in the kitchen.
ROFL and Lady Dinosaurs don't sleep in closets smiley - tongueout

Yes, I do recall a few of the "better off" relatives having a sitting room. One used only by special guests, and only if they were already in their Sunday "hurting clothes". Oddly, I was NEVER invited into one of those rooms. smiley - rofl

And so, Lady Saurii don't lurk in closets? Hell, and I've been waking sooooo early, for so long ... Just hoping to find one. smiley - laughsmiley - bigeyessmiley - rofl

On that note, are you back to the work-grind yet? Or will that be later in the week? The lottery-gawds are still scowling at me, so it's atleast another week. smiley - groan

There's actually been a lot of scandal and flurry about that here, lately. An inordinate number of winners also being sales-clerks of lottery terminals. Investigations are underway ...

smiley - biggrin nothing new. The state lottery here used to have a group of regular winners, all family members of the management.. Investigations were never made, the management was replaced smiley - whistle

People here were much more subtle ... The multi-million-$ prizes still went out to people all over the country. But the ones worth 10's of thousands were often going to store clerks, or their families. Several of those a month, and they add up pretty quickly.

I'm thinking of opening a convenience store. smiley - evilgrin

smiley - laugh if you do, kindly inform me of a prize winning lot every now and then? smiley - rofl

meantime life is back to normal. Schools start and last week's multi million euro lottery prize wasn't claimed as far as I know. Mind you, nobody (I mean NOBODY) ever heard of anyone winning the main prize smiley - whistle

Just a bit over a week ago, a $32-million prize went ... to two ticket-holders. One was a couple in their late 50s, the other a family of 5 or so. With a teen-aged cancer-surviving daughter. Unfortunately ... none of them can be proven to be relatives of mine. smiley - sadface
