There's NOTHING like a good back-scratch ...

Yes, I do remember the invasion of the male-hormones of the house. And that they left it standing. You still haven't said if you've found any inexplicable mounds under carpets, sour corners, etc.
A mail was received and answered. To be met another day ... perhaps after his masterfulness is done hoovering the lounge, ... the kennel, etc.

it seems that someone else's house is invaded this weekend. I would have appreciated knowing about that, but well.. one cannot have it all, right?
of course the real "Master of the House" is me

*pulls the slobbering and drooling mind out of the gutter, and wipes it off ...*
Of course not, m'dear. I have NEVER doubted your veracity.

Hmmm. Not that I've actively noticed but it's strange that stuff such as and and seem to follow you?
Not that I am complaining, of course.

Ah. Well then, if I forget on occassion the appropriate amount of and , I'm sure that you shall remind me. FIRMLY !!!
Completely as an aside, as I'm not one to post often to a certain thread ... ... Nature seems to abhor perfect symetry. And so, from many years and many military male showers ... (when to the embarassment of some) ... It is obvious that there will always be some curve east or west. Not that I've made any formal studies, just what is noticed.

firmly indeed and as for symmetry and being straight .. for what it's worth .. I haven't seen a straight one yet

It's not like I've ever taken a measuring stick either.
So, Firm Mistress of the Manse, how was the week-end for yourself and the little herd? Things settled back to what-ever passes for 'normal'?

Babette - Dinosaure Posted Dec 12, 2006
All the world is back to normal the dogs bore themselves and everyone's back to w*rk. So should I .. in a few minutes ..
The weather is .. warm for this time. I notice that Canada is also having high temperatures??

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Dec 12, 2006
Yes, our area IS having some unusual warmer days. Of course, Murphy's Law says that we will pay dearly for them ... later.

Babette - Dinosaure Posted Dec 12, 2006
people around here also start to talk about the winter of .. (what .. 1986??) when November was warm and Februari minus 15..
(oh, in NL minus 15 is a disaster. The country grinds to a halt then; nobody has clothes for that, the heating is insufficient and if there's snow or ice then there's no equipment to clean out even the main roads in time)

Rev Nick { Only the dead are without fear } Posted Dec 12, 2006
Then the only obvious solution, ... if the clothes are inadequate, ... is shed them all, take as many close and personal friends as you can find, and cuddle in a massively huge bed. One way or the other, you forget about the cold, right?
We have our mild winters, and some exceptionally sharp and cold ones. I never remember the dates or years. The only one that I specifically recall is quite a blizzard on January 17th, 1977. Because I walked 8 miles through it, to my first full-time job, and home that was not my parents'.

Babette - Dinosaure Posted Dec 12, 2006
an obvious solution indeed .. and still the Canadian country side isn't flooded with people? amazing.. I'd think that after a few cold winters the population nearly doubles?
... 8 miles ... 13 km walk .. through a blizzard ...

Sheer stubborn-ness, and a desperation to get away from a bad situation, will make a teenaged lad do amazing things. I never once considered moving back to that home.
Just as an odd coincidence, an amazing number of Canadians seem to be born between September and December. Our winters ARE cold.
And yes, my birthday is in October.

Babette - Dinosaure Posted Dec 12, 2006
well, maybe cold winters are not all *that* bad I can see advantages
... stubborn, desperate, bad situation.. ah .. I see .. I see ...

Canucks are the eternal optimists, m'dear. And will always find the silver lining in every cloud. So if the powers throw raw and cold winters at us, ...
Mind you, not all Canucks seem to need the cold weather. My little girlie seems to think any old time is a good thing. Thus explaining an anticipated birth in January of another grand-child. So far, looking like a very strong and healthy girl.

Babette - Dinosaure Posted Dec 12, 2006
Oh wow! that would be the second grand-child, right?
My father usually says grand children are the reward for having children and the best way to get even with children
Well, ( January .. ok .. )
.... hmm.. it seems Bob and me more or less followed the winter and cold timescales.. interesting. I don't recal the temperature at the time ...
