British humour is terribly infectious. I was overexposed to it as a child (Benny Hill, Are You Being Served, Two Ronnies), and now it is very difficult to see a banana without smirking. Almost impossible if a woman is holding it.

There is a joke (by a woman, of course, and I forget off-hand from whose routine it emerged), the shortened version of which goes something like this:

"It's men's fault women can't measure properly.  Why?  Because they're the ones who are always telling us that this [holds fingers two inches apart] is six inches."

yes nonny, wasn't that the reason/excuse why women aren't allegedly able to park?
