So you meant it was "THE S**t" rather than "It was S**t". Funny, the English and language and all. I think I'll go and defenestrate myself now. Bye.

And I bstill like Gemmel. Incidently, people out there who have not read his Jon Shannow books really should. Also I have noted down Stranger in a Strange land and the author Katharine Kerr, hopefully I'll now have something to do at my new home, besides Half-life. Thank you.

This author choice might not be as popular because a few years ago his was being investigated for possibly being a part of a paediphillia ring. I don't know whether he was charged and I certainly don't know if he is innocent or not. But enough of this, lets get back to the books.
Its a Sci-Fi series known as the Rama series, the first book (I can't spell this but you may be able to figure it out) "Rondezvuex with Rama" is about a giant cylinder moving through the Solar system and a non-scientific crew (the nearest to the ship at the time) sent to intercept and to learn as much as possible before fuel considerations force the crew home. Its a wierd book charting their explorations inside the cylinder which is capable of supporting life -and does so. The next books chart subsequent cylinder visits to our space, these books are: "Rama Revealed", "Rama II" and "Return to Rama" order unknown (also I'm not sure if there was in fact a book called "Return to Rama" or if there was a "Rama I", sorry). The series is very good even if the very ending leaves something to be desired. I recomend these books!

ofcourse. Oh, poo. So anyone like Ray Bradbury??? Martian Chronicles is my most tattered book of Bradbury. I dropped it in the tub once too. So now it has those crunchy edges. I hate when that happens.

I think bstill is a great word. I'm going to bstart using it more often. I've been reading Greg Bear (Eon, Eternity, Blood Music). He's got bsome great ideas about physics and all bsorts of crazy scientific stuff.

Just to let everyone know I'm back, and over the summer I've learnt a hell of a lot about the Drenai people (according to Gemmell that is). Sadly didn't have much time for anything else, what with resits, etc. Almost done with Gemmell now. Another direction, anyone?

I did mention Robert Rankin earlyier, has anyone read any? he's like ppetchett only slightly more insane, a little more ironic and considerably more obscene. Lovely chap lives down the road, his son goes to school with my sister, his other son once offered us drugs, i don't think he knows that though, i hope he doesn't read this.
Bear??!?
So Long and Thanks for all the Fish(Deceased) Posted Oct 8, 1999
Hope tht he doesn't find out some one brought drugs into school.
Bear??!?
Jim the Wonder Llama (back from yonder) Posted Oct 14, 1999
Ahhhhh. How come Robert Rankin is pushing drugs. Don't his books sell well enough?
Bear??!?
