Hi Both,
Rabbit duty over with no mishaps, lost bunnies or anything Had a very long weekend helping my young friend move 'house', well flat actually. Accomplished in record time with some good blokes with muscle who moved the big heavy stuff (Not my type)
Still more to do but catching up at home and waiting for the aches and pains to disappear before I volunteer for more punishment
Back soon I hope.

Like yourself WS,i have been run off my feet. The other put her back out last weekend, she put me out too , as i have had to cover her shifts,as well as attending another course on diabetes and nutrition It now seems, because of all the courses i have done, i am capable of manhandling and restraining a lunatic,if i hurt them in the process,i can put them in the recovery position, give the the kiss of life and C.P.R. If they should recover from all this,i can then cook them a nutritious meal, also,if they are diabetic and go into a hypo,i just stick a mars bar in their gob and call it a day
The first week of August is almost over and i am counting down the days until the end of the month,i am then going to visit Scorp and SS for a week,i can't wait.
I am so glad the move went OK,you should not over do it!
Speak soon

Hi Both!
Bluesue! What are you going to do if they go into 'hyper'?
Like you, SS and self can't wait for you to arrive. Have already sent you some suggestions as to what we can do; but here's one we would like to visit if it is something you would be interested in - let me know.

WS! Is the flat move for the lovely person I think it is? If so, give him my love and let me know the why's and wherefore's
xxx to both

Hi both, WS,give our friend a decent flat warming party with plenty of and
Scorp,i think you have given us enough to do already, what with the Heights if Abraham and the monkeys,i will feel at home with the latter I am just counting down the days. Last time,if you remember,we went to a lovely windmill, sadly it was closed,i would love to go there again when it is open and see it all working. One thing is for certain,i am not going down any mines, not ever,my legs never made a full recovery
The weather has returned to the drab and wet stuff,i hope it cheers up by the end of the month, but what ever the weather,we will have fun

Today has been lovely. I decided to go for a wander. I did not go far,i can't be doing with traffic jams in this hot weather and traffic jams are what we get here with all the visiting grockles. I went to Throop Mill, the grockles don't know where that is yet. I decided to look for dragonflies, there were loads of them.Seeing them is one thing, trying to get a picture ,is something else I did manage to get pics of three different sorts http://www.flickr.com/photos/sue980/ There was also a beautiful Blue Emperor,i watched it and hare brained about in the reeds but the wretched thing just never settled anywhere.
Work tomorrow and it is going to be hot, even hotter in the kitchen with the oven going full belt. Why can't they eat salad like everyone else!

Websailor Posted Aug 10, 2012
It's been two scorching days here. I must admit I wouldn't want to be in Weymouth and surrounds this week, but glad you have secret haunts you can escape to.
The dragonfly photos are fantastic, they are such beautiful creatures.
Perhaps they should 'eat cake' as some famous old lady once said

WS,they eat so much It's a wonder they don't explode! As for puddings,i won't let the girls take the sweet trolley anywhere near the dining room until they have finished their dinner. That mistake was made once and the residents downed eating irons, said they had had eaten enough, then, promptly polished off half a ton of trifle and wasted most of their dinner
The kitchen was so hot this weekend,i felt really ill when i had finished,i feel a bit better now i have had a shower and half a bucket of cold cider
I am off now until Thursday. I want to get out with the camera and enjoy myself for a change.I want to go to Bolderwood in the New Forest,if there is room The Roe Deer start their rut in August, earlier than the other kind of deer, some pictures of locked horns would be good
Now 67 and feeling it!
Websailor Posted Aug 12, 2012
Just be careful you don't lock horns with the deer, you have a habit of getting a bit close
Enjoy the time off, I hope the weather stays fine. We have had a couple of showers today but otherwise it has been sunny and not so humid, leading me to do lots of little long awaited chores this morning Day of Rest -what's that

So much for my plans to go to the new forest. I stayed up to watch the closing ceremony of the Olympics. How i stayed awake i don't know as i was tired out before it even started. I think it was because i felt as if i was having some sort of L.S.D trip! As a consequence,i slept in and if i don't get going early,i don't get going at all.It was a good job i did not go,it not only rained,it lashed down,i would have got drowned I may try tomorrow.
I turned on my PC and found i had won a photographic competition, I often enter with this particular group, but i always end up in the top ten and folks can only cast a vote if you are in the top five. The picture that did it was this one
http://www.flickr.com/photos/sue980/7740380684/ So i am quite chuffed with myself. Must I am in the middle of making chutney.

Well done, that must be satisfying. My plans for the week have been disrupted too (happily) by the family descending on me yesterday. I have to take pot luck when I see them as they are all working most of the time, except for the little one.
Love having them but cream crackered We have had threatening skies and humid temperatures for two or three days but not a drop of the wet stuff. It is stifling.
better luck tomorrow.

Have not made anything yet Bluesue; but there is a small (very ancient) orchard down the fields quite close to home (walking distance for me and thee) where we could perhaps get some plums, greengages, blackberries, damsons etc., if you are up for it.

bluesue Posted Aug 16, 2012
Hi both. Ws it is always lovely when the family drop by,but as you say,it leaves one feeling a bit clapped out. Thanks for your congrats on the picture. The only trouble is,i am now guest judge for this week and this entails me trawling through hundreds of pictures.I can't cheat either as i have to leave a comment on each one to prove i have seen it,so, what with work,i am going to be cross eyed at the end of it
Scorp,as you know,i am up for almost anything and food for free always appeals to me The reason i was doing chutney a bit early is i was given a box of apricots by the greengrocer that delivers to work. I don't like apricots as a fruit, but i do like them in chutney,i use it as i would mango chutney. I will bring a jar with me as i am swimming in the stuff
I did manage to get out to the New Forest on Tuesday and so did everyone else on the planet, It seems, since the Olympics, masses of inept cyclists seem to think they are Chris Hoy. They were careering about the narrow roads of the forest in hordes and as i have said before,Lycra may look good on Mr. Hoy ,but it does nothing for fat blokes of a certain age ,far too much information I could not see any deer anywhere and i am not surprised,i expect they were hiding from the cyclists. I went off track for a bit,i had to be careful as the rain has left parts very boggy and i got stuck and squelched about for a while as per usual. Just when i had given up hope of seeing anything, a small herd of Fallow Deer just sauntered by as if i was not there,i snapped a couple of shots and they were gone,so that was that.Pics on flickr.
Typically, the forecast for the weekend is a heat wave and i will be stuck in a hot kitchen DRAT!

I hope you are both OK. I am covered in mozzie bites When i am out in the countryside,i spray myself with repellent, but, when i am in my bedroom,i did not think i would have to. It has been so muggy,i have had all the windows open, the wretched things have come in,found me in the nude with the duvet on the floor and had a party. The worst bit is my back,it itches like crazy and i can't reach to have a good scratch and thrice I have poured vinegar on the spots,so now i smell like a chip shop
Just over a week to go before i join Scorp & SS I am just wishing the time would pass a bit quicker,
Now 67 and feeling it!
Websailor Posted Aug 22, 2012
I can think of far worse things than smelling of vinegar so long as the foxes don't get a whiff
Hope you have a nice time when you go away. Say Hi to Scorp for me
Been feeling low with the humidity, it really drags me down but today has been a bit better, but still sunny with heavy showers. Weekend looks no better
Take care both,

Ws,i thought i would just drop by and say cheerio before i leave for the darkest depths of the Peak District
I can't wait to get away from here, work is terrible, everyone is leaving, the staff, because the wages are rubbish and the residents because they are past their sell by date and can't help it. The people who are replacing the ones that have died are a miserable bunch with as much humour as a dead sheep, speaking of which,i have to dash off and pick up a nice bit of Dorset Lamb for Scorp and SS.
I am in desperate need of a break and i can't think of a nicer place to spend it.
Speak soon,my love to you, C and N.

Websailor Posted Aug 30, 2012
Not sure if you will get this before you go Sue, but thanks for the message. i will pass it on.
Have a good break you sound as if you really need it and you certainly deserve it!
Hope the weather improves, but if you are all like us it won't stop you having a great holiday.
Best wishes to Scorp and SS, you too.

Hi both! I don't suppose Bluesue will bother to read this now - she's got too much to do to be distracted by the computerism
SS and I can't wait for the aforementioned visit. It is always wonderful to have Bluesue to stay. I've told SS that it will be for a week; and he said that she can stay as long as she likes. That is so nice, to know that he is not just being polite for my sake; but really means it - they get on like a house on fire.
I only hope that the weather holds out and is fine for the visit. Still, we shall find some interesting things to do even in the rain.
WS! Will let you know of safe arrival as and when.
