Ah, I see. I'm afraid that wouldn't work out well either. Milady only earns 15 paid vacation days a year, I soon will earn 20. And with so little, her family, my daughter with a family, and a rare visit to my own family ... Vacation time is quickly consumed.

I won't write off the notion yet, of course. I like to be the optimist. smiley - biggrin

And in that vein, there IS that lottery draw tonight, ... a measly $36-million, but it would be a start. smiley - laugh

I get to have a teeny say in things again on Monday. Our local/municpal elections going on, for Mayor and a dozen councillors. Milady has been an active volunteer for one of the Mayoral candidates. Heck, we even have her promotional sign on front and back lawns.

Yep. But also it seems the right choice, of the 4 options. The three old guys seem quite happy to run things "as they have always been", not at all worried that the main business street is becoming a ghost town. All the shops are closing up, and re-locating to more economical digs. (And less aimless youth doing after-hours vandalistic damages)

About 6 or 7 years ago, there was a great flurry about Trenton. A smallish city of perhaps 18,000 people, was going to get a WalMart. Up went the hue and cry that it would put all the small and families businesses off of the map. In fact, it didn't. They all continue to do a good business, as does WalMart. Because the big beastie simply brought new things that we'd not had locally before. And more variety. A couple of smaller businesses have closed, but more due to economic swings. And not keeping up with technologies.
