I can guarantee you that it is macrame: just review the clues: "all tied up"; "tied in knots"; "method" - macrame is the name of the method as well as the end product; However, 'mouse isn't around to confirm this... Oh well.
Hows about next person to sign in posts the next quiz, and I'll wear the blame if it turns out I was wrong.
