Rejection
Posted Apr 21, 2000
Oozing gently out of cracks,
A liquid cold and glacial,
Light shattered,
Friendship broken,
Slowly, the heart yields.
Feeling superficial,
An empty shadow of what was,
Devoid of warmth,
Dark soul,
Turn back, don't risk it!
Hollow sounding,
Evil resounding where laughter once was,
Clammy and rubbery,
Pain reacted,
Stop before its too late!
Dread crystalized,
Gut frozen solid with fear,
Approaching love,
Chance of happiness,
He halts before it comes too near.

Laugh the Dragon
Posted Mar 31, 2000
Ho my lad, ho!
The wind is on our side.
Buffeting gently,
Whistle stop air on its way.
Looking to the cardinals,
Air gap cycle our way.
Dark green and langorous,
Slinked over the stones.
The dragon hove a nest.
Laugh the dragon, sir,
Laugh.
Grey and ochre rocks,
The blasted landscape spread before.
Bone dust, light and misty,
Fingers of the dead pull towards.
Low brooding cloud,
The threat of the storm.
Dark green and langorous,
Slinked over the stones.
The dragon hove a nest.
Laugh the dragon, sir,
Laugh.
I tell you once more,
Dance on to the hill.
I beseech you to sing,
To moon, blood and the hunt.
Looking to the cardinals
Air gap cycle our way

Motivating school children
Posted Jan 6, 2000
Today school started anew for yet another term. I really wouldn't mind it if only they didn't take the oppotunity to shove the old line of "It's a new era!" or variations thereof. It is especially bad since we got a new headmaster this term and he was trying to be motivational. Has anyone successfully been motivational to a group of cynical, apathetic and slightly bitter sixteen to eighteen year olds who don't want to be back at school but in bed.Needless to say he got only a slight response.
The situation was made worse by the apathy and cynicism of the teaching staff to the "new millennium" line. They are as fed up of it as we are and realise just as we do that the only real significance of the year is to get as pissed, stoned or generally wasted as possible. Ah, the joys of youth.
Well, this is my first journal entry so I suppose I had better say something apt and terribly significant trouble is that there is nothing apt or significant about today. It was a day like any other. Long live the millennia, may it last a thousand years.
