Today school started anew for yet another term. I really wouldn't mind it if only they didn't take the oppotunity to shove the old line of "It's a new era!" or variations thereof. It is especially bad since we got a new headmaster this term and he was trying to be motivational. Has anyone successfully been motivational to a group of cynical, apathetic and slightly bitter sixteen to eighteen year olds who don't want to be back at school but in bed.Needless to say he got only a slight response.
The situation was made worse by the apathy and cynicism of the teaching staff to the "new millennium" line. They are as fed up of it as we are and realise just as we do that the only real significance of the year is to get as pissed, stoned or generally wasted as possible. Ah, the joys of youth.
Well, this is my first journal entry so I suppose I had better say something apt and terribly significant trouble is that there is nothing apt or significant about today. It was a day like any other. Long live the millennia, may it last a thousand years.

But the new millenium doesn't start until next year.

Oop, sorry. Oh dear, I suppose I'll have to pre-apologise as well for dragging you in here to apologise.

Why, certainly. I'd love a Schnurzle. You just never know when having a schnurzle might save your life.
What the dickens is a schnurzle? I feel all out of touch.
